History

Sasuke was Itachi Uchiha's much younger brother and waited for him at home as a toddler. His early ambitions were shaped by Fugaku's absence: he wished to become strong like Itachi and eventually avenge his father. Uchiha Yun later told him that Fugaku died while attempting to reclaim a Sharingan once entrusted to him by the Fourth Hokage, though Yun withheld the killer's name because of an agreement with Itachi. 29 56 147

After Konoha was destroyed and Naruto, Hinata, and Itachi were lost, Sasuke met the Sage of Six Paths in his consciousness. Given a chance to send his soul and memories into the past, he accepted the burden of changing the future rather than pursuing vengeance alone. 303
