"But how do you plan to solve the food problem?"
"We Soul Beasts aren't like humans. We don't know how to grow crops or raise livestock."
Faced with Gu Yue's scorn, Su Mo not only remained unruffled, but stepped forward and looked her over, clicking his tongue in wonder.
"You actually managed to realize that? Are you really Gu Yue?"
Su Mo pressed a hand against Gu Yue's head, his face full of surprise.
His thoroughly condescending tone infuriated Gu Yue, and she kicked him on the spot.
"Stop looking down on me!"
"I played around with all these ideas of yours ages ago!"
Back then, she had considered following humanity's example and establishing a civilization of their own for the Soul Beasts in Star Dou Forest.
But the food problem alone had nipped that idea in the bud.
Carnivorous Soul Beasts needed vast quantities of flesh and blood to survive and reproduce.
Wouldn't forbidding them from hunting other Soul Beasts leave them with no way to survive?
And if she allowed them to hunt other Soul Beasts, how would that be any different from Star Dou Forest as it was now?
Su Mo brushed the footprint off his clothes and said calmly, "That only proves the time wasn't ripe for you to build a civilization back then!"
"But now, the
