Just as Zi JI was about to share a passionate kiss with Su Mo, an invisible barrier appeared out of thin air, separating them.
Unable to dodge in time, Zi JI crashed straight into it.
"Ow! Bi Ji, what are you doing?"
Clutching her swollen forehead, Zi JI looked at Bi Ji with wounded resentment.
She and Gu Yue had already had their fill. How could they leave her watching from the sidelines?
Seeing this, Gu Yue folded her arms and snorted. "I told Bi Ji to do it. Do you have a problem with that, Zi JI?"
Gu Yue hated this sneak who had stolen a head start so much that her teeth itched.
Earlier, she had been too busy trying to settle accounts with Su Mo to pay Zi JI much attention.
But now that she had failed to settle those accounts, she needed someone to vent on, and Zi JI was clearly the perfect candidate.

She knew Gu Yue's temper all too well.

Besides, Su Mo was still there. If she kept pursuing the matter, she would just look unreasonable.
With a disgruntled "hmph," Gu Yue withdrew her oppressive aura.

Watching Gu Yue return to normal, Zi JI let out a long breath inwardly, relieved that she had escaped another calamity.
