For some time now, Huang Xiuyuan had been immersed in code, until he received a notification from Lin Baijie stating that the first phase of the Guizhuling Industrial Park had officially entered the completion acceptance stage.

After more than ten days of busy work, the Software Image Conversion System had completed its primary software recognition functions and was currently undergoing the development of its general framework.

He gave a few instructions before calling Huang Weichang to drive him to the Guizhuling Industrial Park.

The pickup truck headed west along the Haishan Highway, flanked by lush green rice paddies where, occasionally, one or two old yellow oxen could be seen grazing with their heads down.

The Guizhuling Industrial Park was not far from Pubian Town, with the two locations separated by less than three or four kilometers.

The three pickup trucks passed through the residential area of Guizhuling Township, and after traveling another kilometer or so, they saw a row of factory buildings over ten meters high.

The security guard in charge of the factory buildings saw the vehicles approaching, hurried forward, and only cleared them for entry after checking everyone's work IDs.

Huang Xiuyuan nodded. "Good management. Don't let your guard down."

Above the pit was a small gantry crane that could use a grab bucket to move the waste from the pit to the next area.

Staff from the equipment manufacturer were currently installing and calibrating the machinery.

Moving to the next zone, there was a waste conveyor belt. The first sorting stage on this belt was a metal separation process using an electromagnet.

Next was the manual sorting area, where sorters would pick out plastic bags, plastic bottles, glass bottles, paper products, batteries, electronic products, and the remaining metal and plastic items one by one.

What remained at the end were food scraps, branches and leaves, fruit peels, some paper towels, and soil or gravel—most of which were organic waste discarded by humans.

After this initial separation, the easily recyclable materials from the various types of waste were sent to other recycling lines.

According to relevant data, the waste produced by an average person per day is likely between 0.5 and 2 kilograms. Taking the median value, that is 1.25 kilograms per person per day.

The permanent population of the Shanmei urban area is around 800,000, with the urban population at about 500,000. Including the floating population, the average daily total is around 50,000.

550,000 × 1.25 kilograms ≈ 690,000 kilograms, meaning 690 tons of waste are produced daily. If the surrounding rural areas are included in the waste recycling scope in the future, the daily domestic waste output will rise to about 1,000 tons per day.

Each individual recycling line at the factory can process 500 tons of domestic waste per day. The reason five lines were prepared was to accommodate future business expansion and accept domestic waste from surrounding counties and towns.

Currently, Suiren Company has ordered two domestic waste recycling lines. The equipment has arrived, and the manufacturer's employees are on-site for installation and calibration.

Other equipment for the metal, glass, and plastic recycling lines has also arrived in the Shanmei urban area.

It is estimated that by early June, installation and calibration will be complete, and the facility will enter the trial operation stage.

After inspecting the various recycling lines, Huang Xiuyuan did not leave but instead went to the area designated for the second phase of construction.

"Baijie, how long will the second phase of construction take for the company building the factory?"

Lin Baijie quickly replied, "Since the foundation is already done, the second phase and the office building renovations should be finished by the end of May."

Since these were internal patents, even if they were not filed as public patents, or if they could not be publicly filed due to confidentiality requirements, it would not affect the patent dividends.

As long as products applying these patents generated net profit, patent dividends had to be paid to the relevant research and development personnel in accordance with the Internal Patent Law.
