Chapter 50: Ice Prison King
It was the Life God Clone of Kolan that arrived at Azurefire City.
After all, his Death God Clone was already a Highgod. To continue cultivating, it was inevitable that he would need to study the Death Law, and the Death Law required slaughter and death, making the Plane Prison the most suitable place.
The Life God Clone was different; the Life Law itself was not famous for being keen on combat or slaughter, but rather for studying various forms of life.
In Azurefire City, Kolan would purchase various magical beasts, divine beasts, elves, orcs, and half-orcs to conduct research related to life.
Gradually, Kolan also learned about some matters concerning Azurefire City.
At the very center of Azurefire City was the palace where Azurefire resided. The entire palace was a solid structure condensed from earth elements, demonstrating Azurefire's terrifying attainments in the Laws of the Earth.
Azurefire had two brothers, and because of their relationship with him, their status in Azurefire City was second only to Azurefire himself.
Beneath Azurefire, there was a Highgod named Adkins, whose strength was second only to Azurefire, and he held immense fame in Azurefire City.
That Adkins possessed two divine clones, namely Light and Darkness, and both had reached the realm of Highgod.
While Kolan's Life God Clone was settling down in Azurefire City to study in peace, the Kolan far away in the Plane Prison was stirring up monstrous slaughter.
As his Death God Clone reached the Highgod level, his terrifying strength was far greater than that of an ordinary Highgod. Possessing a soul-defending Highgod Artifact, being skilled in soul-related matters himself, and combined with powerful soul energy and a formidable physical body, it only took Kolan a few decades to have an army of five hundred Highgods under his command.
Although these five hundred Highgods were all those who had refined godheads, they were still a powerful force.
In just a hundred years, the entire Plane Prison, with the exception of Ice Prison City, was devoid of any life.
Kolan refined the souls of a vast number of living beings into Soul Gold Beads.
Kolan also concocted a large amount of Soul Venom and Soul Poison Mist.
Kolan's reputation became second only to the Ice Prison King throughout the entire Plane Prison.
And this eventually drew the attention of Ice Prison City.
Inside the palace of Ice Prison City, a youth with blue hair sat high upon a throne. His hair looked like individual pythons, appearing extremely terrifying.
"My Lord, that Death Castle is too arrogant. They have slaughtered wantonly, and the entire Plane Prison has been wiped clean; it now threatens the Royal City." A burly man with fire-red hair looked very angry. "If this continues, I fear the entire Plane Prison will only know of that God of Death and not you, my Lord, the King!"
The youth on the throne was none other than the Ice Prison King!
The Ice Prison King was originally a life form from the Yulan Continent plane, a divine beast that lived in the North Sea. Because he offended the plane guardian, he was imprisoned in the Plane Prison. Countless billions of years had passed since then, and he had been a King for who knows how many billions of years.
Every so often, someone would challenge the Ice Prison King, only to be slain by him.
"Aols, what is the strength of this God of Death? How does he compare to you?" The Ice Prison King's tone was cold.
Aols had cultivated to the Highgod level independently and had followed the Ice Prison King for a very long time, serving as the commander of the Ice Prison City garrison.
The Ice Prison City garrison had ten commanders, each of whom was a Highgod who had become a god independently.
"My Lord, five years ago, I led my troops to wipe out Death Castle, but the entire army was annihilated. I only managed to return to the Royal City after losing my water-element Median God clone," Aols said.
A cold glint flashed in the Ice Prison King's eyes. "It seems this God of Death does not hold me, the King, in high regard. Since that is the case, I shall let him know my methods!"
Of the five great Kings of the Plane Prison, which one had not climbed out of a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, using countless bodies to achieve their status as King?
The Ice Prison King was naturally no exception; he was certainly no pushover.
Although the Ice Prison King never cared about the fighting and chaos outside of Ice Prison City—after all, if there were no chaos or fighting in the entire Plane Prison, and it were all peaceful, there would likely be no place left to stand—the other party's slaughter was simply too reckless.
The number of Ice Prison lives slaughtered was estimated to exceed two hundred million.
Subsequently, the Ice Prison King personally led the Ice Prison City garrison, left Ice Prison City, and headed toward Death Castle.
"Enemy attack!"
"Enemy attack!"
The piercing sound instantly resounded throughout Death Castle.
Even Kolan, who was in the middle of cultivation, was given a huge fright.
Kolan went out immediately and saw that the sky was filled with figures.
Kolan sent a divine sense transmission, and the army of Death Castle immediately began to assemble.
Five hundred Highgods, five thousand Median Gods!
The two sides stood in confrontation.
Kolan flew in mid-air, looking coldly at the other side. Seeing their banners, Kolan knew that it was the Ice Prison City garrison.
"You are the God of Death? Such audacity. It has been a hundred thousand years since anyone dared to provoke the majesty of Clance," the Ice Prison King looked at Kolan indifferently. "I give you two choices: either submit, or die!"
"Haha, what a joke!" Kolan sneered. "Clance, wanting to kill me is not that easy!"
"Collective soul attack!" Kolan sent a divine sense transmission.
He saw his subordinates wave the weapons in their hands almost simultaneously, and countless virtual phantoms flew out densely from their weapons.
"Kill!" The Ice Prison King snorted coldly and issued the order.
The one hundred thousand soldiers of the Ice Prison City garrison were very proficient and released soul attacks simultaneously.
A large number of virtual phantoms instantly filled the boundary between the two armies, either colliding and dissipating in mid-air or rushing directly toward the other side.
A vast number of translucent phantoms tore through the sky, launching attacks at one another.
"Bang!" Some of the soul attacks collided and dissipated in mid-air, while the majority struck their targets.
Many of those who were hit could not withstand the impact, and their corpses fell like rain.
Kolan felt not a shred of heartache over the deaths of his subordinates.
Kolan retrieved a gray orb from his interspatial ring and threw it out.
Instantly, the gray orb exploded, transforming into a massive cloud of pink mist.
This was a poisonous mist he had refined; even a Highgod who came into contact with it would have their murderous intent stirred.
At the same time, Kolan sent a divine sense transmission to a squad, who were seen holding crossbows and firing them.
These crossbow bolts were no simple weapons; their tips were coated with Soul Venom. They were guaranteed to kill any Midgod, and even a Highgod, if caught off guard by a volley, would likely be shot dead.
"Kolan, you deserve to die!" Ice Prison King stared coldly at Kolan. A long whip appeared in his hand, which he then swung like a giant python, attacking toward Kolan.
These god-level experts who cultivated the Death Law were truly detestable, with an endless array of underhanded tactics.
If he allowed Kolan to continue, his own subordinates would likely suffer heavy losses.
To catch the bandits, one must first catch the ringleader; as long as Kolan was killed, all problems would be solved.
