Hodan chose Fast, a Fate Lesser Sovereign, as his next target and launched a surprise attack near the Celestial Realm. Just as he expected to kill Fast, a powerful array trapped Hodan and four auras closed in around him.
Hodan was ambushed by Oufu and the other Rule Sovereigns after killing a fake Fast, and Oufu explained how his potion and formation let gods impersonate Sovereigns. As Oufu revealed that the potion had only been used on Thunder and Fate Sovereigns and a few others, Hodan secretly sent his Life Clone to hunt a Life Lesser Sovereign.
Oufu trapped Hodan with the Sovereign of Death and two other Sovereigns, exposed his Soul Mutation and hidden identities, and demanded the secret behind his power. With his Life Clone still far away and escape unlikely, Hodan unleashed his never-before-seen Destructive Demon Thunder Body as battle began.
Hodan fought Uterde, Oufu, and the Sovereigns of Death and Life after revealing his Destruction Giant forms, while the Sovereigns unleashed their ultimate abilities. The battle left Hodan wounded by a Supreme Artifact as his enemies gained the advantage.
Hodan broke the stalemate by having his Life God Clone kill a Lower Sovereign and refine the Life Lesser Sovereign Spark, greatly increasing the strength of all his clones. He turned the fight around, badly injuring Uterde and taking the Supreme Spear, though Oufu and the other Chief Sovereigns remained in battle.
Hodan used the Supreme God Spear to defeat the Destruction Sovereign, killing Uterde and claiming his Sovereign Spark. After Uterde’s death, Hodan bound the spear to himself and gained an offensive Supreme Artifact of his own.
Hodan fought the Sovereigns of Death and Life as they poured their remaining power into a desperate attempt to defeat him. The Sovereign of Death launched a spear formed from countless souls, leaving Hodan facing her next attack.
Hodan survived the Sovereign of Death’s soul attack and gained the advantage as her power and the Sovereign of Life’s support dwindled. The Sovereign of Death and the Sovereign of Life returned to their original forms and waited for Hodan to decide their fate.
Hodan spared the Sovereign of Life and the Sovereign of Death after they swore not to trouble the Renars Clan, then joined the fight against Oufu. Unable to defeat Oufu directly, Hodan left to search for the hidden Fate Chief Sovereigns and traced them to a concealed area near the Plane Battlefield.
Hodan broke into the Fate Sovereigns’ hiding place, killed a Lower Fate Sovereign, and refined the Sovereign Spark. The four Sovereign Powers merged into Mysterious Yellow Power, transforming Hodan’s body as Oufu realized his strength had surged.
Hodan’s powers fused and transformed him into a being who had reached the same realm as the creator of the world. After witnessing Hodan’s transformation, Oufu accepted that he could not escape and chose to stay and learn what he could.
Hodan spared Oufu and showed him the destructive world beyond, then crossed into Hongmeng Space and met Hongmeng, the creator of the world. Hongmeng revealed that he had watched Hodan from the beginning and helped him transcend, leaving Hodan to learn why Hongmeng called him Second Brother.
Hodan learned that merging the Four Sovereigns had given him a Xuanhuang Indestructible Body, then marked himself on the Hongmeng Golden List as Huomeng so he could navigate Hongmeng Space. With Hongmeng’s guidance, he set out to settle his affairs and search for his homeland.
