Ch. 162Victory

At the start of the final Plane War, Hodan guarded a Star River passage alone and routed the Radiant faction’s forces, while Bayer declined to challenge him. With Hodan securing the first round, the Dark faction’s concentrated forces overwhelmed the Radiant faction and won the Plane War.

  • Hodan warned the Radiant soldiers not to attack him, but more than a thousand attacked under a Commander’s orders.
  • Hodan used Present World Delusion to kill over a thousand soldiers, then slew the Commander with a soul-infused blade strike.
  • Hodan called out Bayer, who said Magnus was stationed there and that he had no intention of fighting; Hodan then advanced through the passage as the Radiant soldiers retreated.
  • Hodan reached the end of the passage, causing its seven-colored light to vanish and giving the Dark faction the first-round victory.
  • The Dark faction sent coordinated waves of material and soul attacks through its other passage, breaking the Radiant faction’s resistance and winning the Plane War.

Ch. 163Trading for a Sovereign Artifact

Hodan returned from the Plane Battlefield with Linley and Bebe after helping secure victory, then exchanged ten Commander Badges with the Sovereign of Death for a Soul Defense Sovereign Artifact. The Sovereign of Death agreed to search for Linley’s relatives, while Hodan considered how to strengthen Linley further and prevent his soul from mutating.

  • Hodan reunited with Linley, Bebe, Reisgyn, and Lei Hong, then distributed four extra Commander Badges among their squads.
  • Hodan, Linley, and Bebe traveled to Flamebone Mountain, where Gaolun directed Hodan to the Sovereign of Death.
  • The Sovereign of Death praised Hodan for securing victory and Linley for his performance in the Plane Battlefield.
  • Hodan exchanged ten badges for a Soul Defense Sovereign Artifact and reminded the Sovereign of Death to search for Linley’s relatives.
  • Hodan resolved to add another safeguard by strengthening Linley and eliminating the possibility of his soul mutating.

Ch. 164Arrangements

Hodan fused the nine spirit pearls into the Crown of Wutie, then spent a hundred years strengthening himself before preparing to pursue the Red Diamond. He arranged a safe refuge for his clan and left them with a Soul Defense Sovereign Artifact and a Sovereign token to relocate to the Aokaren Plane.

  • Hodan fused the nine spirit pearls into the Crown of Wutie and discovered that it clarified his view of life’s patterns and slowly strengthened his soul.
  • Hodan spent a hundred years cultivating until his body and Sovereign Artifacts were fully nurtured and his mastery of the Laws of Death and Life Law reached the Seven-Star Fiend level.
  • Hodan decided to resolve the matter of the Red Diamond and secretly summoned Renars and Elder Muli to discuss relocating clan members to a Material Plane.
  • Hodan gave Renars a Soul Defense Sovereign Artifact and a Sovereign token to move some of the clan’s elites to the Aokaren Plane.

Ch. 165Waiting Quietly

Hodan arranged protection and seclusion for his family and allies before waiting in the Kodesen Mountain Range for Brodie and the Red Diamond. After a thousand years, Brodie arrived and suffered the events of his predetermined fate, until he spotted the Red Diamond in the grass.

  • Hodan gave Elder Muli the Azure Dragon Ring and a Nether Fruit, then asked him to watch for Brodie on the Aokaren Plane and kill him if he returned from the Divine Planes.
  • Hodan arranged for Silvermoon and Huoxie to live in seclusion, gave Silvermoon Sovereign Artifacts, and left the Tianji Mountain Range.
  • Hodan searched the Kodesen Mountain Range for the Red Diamond, found nothing, and began checking the nearby Plane Teleportation Array for Brodie.
  • Over the next thousand years, Hodan cultivated the Laws of Death and Life to the Asura level and eventually spotted Brodie arriving in Hell with his wife.
  • Hodan watched Brodie's wife get abducted and Brodie flee, but he did not interfere with Brodie's predetermined fate.
  • After Brodie left a hidden cave, he noticed a red flash and found a diamond-shaped red crystal in the grass.

Ch. 166Success

Hodan obtained the Red Diamond, completed the Supreme God mission, and asked the Supreme God of Life to send him back to his original hometown. She refused, leaving him without the return he had sought.

  • Hodan took the Red Diamond from Brodie and killed the Kodesen Mountain Range bandits who threatened them.
  • Brodie asked Hodan to save his wife, and Hodan rescued her, killed the clan leader, and gave Brodie supplies and a Renars Clan token.
  • Hodan traveled to a Material Plane, knocked its inhabitants unconscious, and united the three tokens into the Life Crown.
  • The Supreme God of Life appeared and confirmed that Hodan had completed her mission.
  • Hodan asked to return to his original hometown, but the Supreme God of Life said she could not fulfill his request.

Ch. 167Soul Mutation

Hodan Renars learned that the Life Overgod could not send him home, but she confirmed that other paths beyond this world might exist and agreed to help him undergo Soul Mutation. She restored his Thunder God Clone to his original body and began the transformation, leaving him unconscious inside a protected Supreme Array.

  • The Life Overgod refused Hodan Renars's request to affect how other worlds operated, then answered his questions about returning home, other paths beyond the world, and safe Soul Mutation.
  • Hodan requested that the Life Overgod merge his Thunder God Clone into his original body and safely guide his original body and four Rule Clones through Soul Mutation.
  • The Life Overgod dissolved Hodan's Thunder God Clone and returned its soul power and Godhead to his original body, greatly strengthening his soul.
  • The Life Overgod weakened Hodan's soul until he lost consciousness, then used a green soul crystal to protect it and support its Soul Mutation.
  • The Life Overgod placed Hodan inside a Supreme Array to prevent interference and disappeared as his transformation began.

Ch. 168The Fusion of Four Divine Powers

After sixty years, Hodan awakened from his Soul Mutation with two new portions of Willpower and soul sense that Sovereigns could not detect. He began fusing his four types of Highgod divine power, but the process consumed all the power in his clones after producing only a few wisps of pale-yellow mist.

  • Hodan's soul recovered and grew for decades as the green crystal poured its remaining soul power into it.
  • Hodan awakened and discovered that his Soul Mutation had granted two portions of Willpower to his original body and Divine Clones.
  • Hodan tested his greatly expanded soul power and found that he could observe the Bloodridge Sovereign and Oufu without being detected.
  • Hodan began fusing the four types of Highgod divine power, which produced pale-yellow mist that transformed and strengthened his body.
  • The fusion stopped when all the divine power in Hodan's four clones was depleted, leaving him stunned by how little mist it had produced.

Ch. 169Target

Hodan discovered that fusing the Four Rules briefly strengthened his body beyond the level of a Sovereign Artifact, but consumed nearly all his stored divine power. Seeking a faster path to grow stronger and find a way home, he decided to hunt Lower Sovereigns and refine their Sovereign Sparks, naming his targets before the chapter ended.

  • Hodan fused the Four Rules and found that the resulting pale yellow mist strengthened his body by a tenth, though it exhausted his divine power.
  • Hodan concluded that his inefficient power fusion could not be his only route to growth and resolved to become a Sovereign by refining a Sovereign Spark.
  • Hodan considered how his Paragon-level Rules, Willpower, and Sovereign-level strength might combine with a Sovereign Spark.
  • Hodan decided that his limited ability to sustain Mid-level Sovereign strength made Lower Sovereigns safer targets to hunt.
  • Hodan chose the Bloodridge Sovereign in Hell and Lianhuo Sovereign in the Netherworld as his targets.

Ch. 170Hunt

Hodan began hunting Sovereigns, using his Paragon disguise and powerful soul to catch them off guard. He killed Lianhuo Sovereign on Bailian Island, while Bloodridge Sovereign remained in a chess game with Hodan’s Destruction Clone.

  • Hodan chose Bloodridge Sovereign and Lianhuo Sovereign as targets because both were ordinary Lower Sovereigns who were relatively easy to reach.
  • Hodan sent his Destruction Clone to Bloodpeak Continent and traveled to the Netherworld with his Death and Fate Clones.
  • Hodan visited Bloodridge Sovereign in the Lianyun Mountain Range and persuaded him to play military chess, intending to exploit his lowered guard.
  • Hodan entered Lianhuo Sovereign’s labyrinth on Bailian Island and reached the highest floor, where Lianhuo Sovereign was guarding the prize.
  • Hodan added his Fate Clone’s Willpower to his true body and killed Lianhuo Sovereign with Present World Delusion, leaving behind a Death Lowgod Sovereign Spark.

Ch. 171Becoming a Sovereign

Hodan refined the Death Sovereign Spark, killed the Bloodridge Sovereign, and became a Sovereign of two elements. He fled into the Spatial Turbulence as the other Sovereigns pursued him, confident he could escape despite the danger.

  • Hodan's Death God Clone refined the Death Sovereign Spark, increasing his Destruction Clone's Willpower.
  • Hodan used his final authorization to transfer Willpower to his Destruction Clone and killed the Bloodridge Sovereign with Sovereign's Might.
  • Hodan refined the Destruction Sovereign Spark and became a Sovereign of two elements, alerting the Sovereigns in Hell.
  • Hodan entered the Spatial Turbulence to gather his clones, while the Destruction Sovereign and the other Sovereigns pursued him.
  • The Sovereign of Death confronted Hodan, who apologized before entering the Spatial Turbulence and assessed his new strength.

Ch. 172The Battle Against Uterde

Hodan confronted Uterde, who demanded the secret behind a god’s ability to wield Sovereign-level power. Their weapons and ultimate moves clashed, but Hodan withstood Uterde’s attacks and challenged him to use the move he had devised against Oufu.

  • Uterde accused Hodan of killing Sovereigns and refining their Sparks, while Hodan revealed that he had refined both Destruction and Death Sovereign Sparks.
  • Uterde attacked Hodan with his Supreme Artifact spear, and their weapons collided, cracking Hodan’s Zhengdu Blade.
  • Uterde revealed his true form and used his Innate Divine Ability, Soul Prison, before unleashing his Ultimate Move, World Destruction.
  • Hodan countered with Present World Delusion, and the clash’s shockwave annihilated the surrounding Spatial Turbulence.
  • Uterde was stunned that Hodan survived, while Hodan demanded to see the new ultimate move Uterde had created to fight Oufu.

Ch. 173The Sovereigns Gather

Hodan waited in the Spatial Turbulence as Sovereigns gathered to learn how he had killed two of them and refined their Sovereign Sparks. He concealed the source of his power while facing the four Chief Sovereigns of the Laws, leaving his next move unresolved.

  • Hodan inferred that Uterde had not completed Space-Time Disorder and waited for the other Sovereigns to arrive.
  • News that Hodan had killed two Sovereigns and refined their Sparks spread, drawing Sovereigns from across the realms.
  • Hodan kept his distance from the gathered Sovereigns and assessed the power of the Sovereign of Life and the Sovereign of Death.
  • The Sovereign of Death questioned Hodan about his killings and Death Clone, and Hodan credited the Nether Fruit and an unnamed opportunity for his strength.

Ch. 174Judgment

Hodan faced judgment for killing two Sovereigns and refining their Sovereign Sparks, but the Four Rule Sovereigns ruled him innocent because he had not been a Sovereign when he killed them and had not broken their agreement. The other Sovereigns departed, leaving the Sovereign of Death behind to regard Hodan as his former emissary and current equal.

  • Boteier demanded that Hodan explain himself, and Hodan attacked him with a soul strike that Oufu blocked.
  • The Sovereign of Life explained the agreement restricting higher-ranked Sovereigns from killing lower-ranked ones who had not provoked them.
  • The Destruction Sovereign revealed that Hodan was as strong as a Rule Sovereign and even faster, startling the gathered Sovereigns.
  • After conferring, the Four Rule Sovereigns declared Hodan innocent, and the other Sovereigns accepted the judgment.
  • The Sovereigns left, while Hodan accepted Oufu's invitation but resolved to avoid the Rule Sovereigns' lairs until he grew stronger.
  • The Sovereign of Death remained behind, troubled that his former emissary now stood on equal footing with him.

Ch. 175Advice

Hodan returned the Soul Defense Sovereign Artifact to the Sovereign of Death, refused to reveal his strength's secret, and warned her about Oufu. He then secured Zijing Chief Sovereign's oath to protect the Renars Clan and left to pursue greater strength.

  • Hodan returned the Soul Defense Sovereign Artifact to the Sovereign of Death and offered to reveal his secret in exchange for a Lower Sovereign Spark of the Fate Element, but she refused.
  • Hodan warned the Sovereign of Death to study her Sovereign Spark and watch out for Oufu, then left to create a divine plane near the Aokaren Plane for his Death Clone.
  • Hodan went to the Zijing Mountain Range and demanded that Zijing Chief Sovereign swear to protect the Renars Clan if it faced annihilation.
  • Hodan explained that he had received the Destruction Giant's legacy and threatened Zijing Chief Sovereign over her husband's destruction of a Material Plane.
  • Zijing Chief Sovereign swore the Supreme Oath, and Hodan departed for the Tianji Mountain Range to seek more strength.

Ch. 176The Death Rule Reached Perfection

Hodan created a Creation Divine Plane and perfected the Death Rule, bringing his Death Clone to the strength of his Destruction Clone. He prepared the plane as a trial ground for the Renars Clan and began planning his next move.

  • Hodan gathered his Sovereign's Might and created a divine plane, gaining insight into death until the Death Rule reached perfection.
  • Hodan formed a sun and moon, surveyed the plane, and recognized that he could not create life.
  • Hodan established the plane as a Renars Clan trial ground, filling it with creatures, experts, hidden treasures, and rules for those who entered.
  • Hodan required the plane's overseer to be a Seven-Star Fiend and left the clan to manage the plane.
  • Hodan decided he was strong enough to turn the tables and began planning to refine another Sovereign Spark.

Ch. 177Choosing a Target Again

Hodan chose Fast, a Fate Lesser Sovereign, as his next target and launched a surprise attack near the Celestial Realm. Just as he expected to kill Fast, a powerful array trapped Hodan and four auras closed in around him.

  • Hodan surveyed the Sovereigns and decided to target a Fate Lesser Sovereign so refining the Spark would strengthen all three of his Sovereign Clones.
  • Hodan selected Fast and left his Life Clone behind to guard his newly established divine plane.
  • Hodan disguised his appearance and soul aura, traveled through Spatial Turbulence, and approached the Celestial Realm unseen.
  • Hodan attacked Fast as soon as the Fate Lesser Sovereign entered range.
  • Fast's Sovereign Palace activated a grand array that trapped Hodan while four powerful auras surrounded him.

Ch. 178The Setup

Hodan was ambushed by Oufu and the other Rule Sovereigns after killing a fake Fast, and Oufu explained how his potion and formation let gods impersonate Sovereigns. As Oufu revealed that the potion had only been used on Thunder and Fate Sovereigns and a few others, Hodan secretly sent his Life Clone to hunt a Life Lesser Sovereign.

  • Hodan killed the fake Fast, whose body dropped a Godhead instead of a Sovereign Spark, before Oufu, Uterde, the Sovereign of Life, and the Sovereign of Death surrounded him.
  • Oufu told Hodan that the Thunder and Fate Sovereigns outside were fakes and explained that his potion copied soul auras while a formation supplied the appearance of Sovereign's Might.
  • Hodan realized the potion had been used on only one of the Life Sovereigns and secretly dispatched his Life Clone to the Life Divine Plane to hunt a Life Lesser Sovereign.
  • Hodan confirmed that the four Rule Sovereigns confronting him were genuine and continued facing them while his Life Clone traveled toward its target.

Ch. 179Drag It Out

Oufu trapped Hodan with the Sovereign of Death and two other Sovereigns, exposed his Soul Mutation and hidden identities, and demanded the secret behind his power. With his Life Clone still far away and escape unlikely, Hodan unleashed his never-before-seen Destructive Demon Thunder Body as battle began.

  • Oufu explained that he had anticipated Hodan's attack on Fast and deduced that Hodan could alter his soul aura and was a Four-Element Soul Mutator.
  • The Sovereign of Death revealed that Oufu had forced her and the other Sovereigns to swear a Supreme Oath to attack Hodan once.
  • Oufu disclosed that all the Sovereigns were Fate Grand Perfections and said he had hidden the Thunder and Fate Sovereigns deep in Spatial Turbulence.
  • Oufu demanded that Hodan reveal the secret behind his power, while the four Rule Sovereigns prepared to fight.
  • Hodan roared and unleashed his previously unrevealed Destructive Demon Thunder Body.

Ch. 180Battle

Hodan fought Uterde, Oufu, and the Sovereigns of Death and Life after revealing his Destruction Giant forms, while the Sovereigns unleashed their ultimate abilities. The battle left Hodan wounded by a Supreme Artifact as his enemies gained the advantage.

  • Hodan revealed his Destruction Giant forms and fled in two directions, but Uterde used his perfected ultimate move to halt his escape and strike at him.
  • Hodan resisted Uterde’s soul attack and punched him away, while his Destruction Clone fought Oufu with the Zhengdu Blade and relied on its speed advantage.
  • The Sovereign of Death drew power from the Heart of the Netherworld as the Sovereign of Life protected and strengthened the group with her Life Protection.
  • Hodan attacked Uterde, but the Sovereigns of Death and Life struck him with Death Impact and Life Deprivation, forcing him to dodge.
  • Uterde cut through Hodan’s protective lightning and wounded his back and left hand with a Supreme Artifact.

Ch. 181Breaking the Deadlock

Hodan broke the stalemate by having his Life God Clone kill a Lower Sovereign and refine the Life Lesser Sovereign Spark, greatly increasing the strength of all his clones. He turned the fight around, badly injuring Uterde and taking the Supreme Spear, though Oufu and the other Chief Sovereigns remained in battle.

  • Hodan realized Oufu and the three Chief Sovereigns of the rules could overwhelm him if they kept him occupied and targeted his Sovereign Clones.
  • Hodan's Life God Clone reached the Life Divine Plane, stunned a Lower Sovereign with a Soul Spear, killed him, and refined the Life Lesser Sovereign Spark.
  • Hodan's clones received a hundredfold surge in aura, shocking Oufu and the three Chief Sovereigns of the rules.
  • Hodan stood his ground against Oufu, then attacked Uterde while the Sovereigns of Death and Life tried to protect him.
  • Hodan used his Destructive Demon Thunder Body to withstand their attacks, broke Uterde's arms, and seized the Supreme Spear.
