As he reached the office door, he heard Amado and Anhua chatting and laughing inside.

He cleared his throat twice, then pushed open the office door.
Inside, Puppet was hard at work handling official business. Amado and Anhua were each seated on opposite sides of the room, several meters apart.
They were gazing at each other from a distance.
"What are you two talking about? You seem to be having a great time."
When Amado saw Torifu enter unexpectedly, the smile on his face hadn't yet faded. For a moment, he looked a little awkward.
"Big Brother, what brings you here? Is something the matter?"
He made a very deliberate attempt to change the subject, but Torifu didn't let him steer the conversation. "Nothing. I just came out for a look around. I heard you laughing as soon as I reached the door. Is there some good news? Tell me about it, too."
Amado could only rub his forehead helplessly, while Anhua rose to her feet and said frankly, "It's like this, Lord Hokage. We came across an interesting document while handling some work, so we started discussing it."
"Somehow, the conversation drifted off-topic. When we realized, we couldn't help laughing. Then you suddenly came in and caught us in the act."
All right. Torifu hadn't expected that. He had no reason to doubt Anhua; she had never lied.
