The apartment was suddenly bustling. Seeing that Uchiha Chirori had quite a bit of work tonight, Tsunade pitched in to help.
Torifu lent a hand nearby, while the children started playing a game in the living room.
The day had been more than a little nerve-racking, so taking a moment to relax now was only natural.
"By the way, does that mean we're going to be without a mission again tomorrow?"
"Huh?" Konan looked puzzled.
Yahiko explained, "Aren't the shadows from the other two countries going into battle tomorrow? The Rain Province in the Land of Fire's territory is pretty much cleared out now. Only the other two countries' territories remain."
At that, Konan understood.
"Looks like it. We have to wait until they kill the shadows before we can go help."
That meant they could take another day off tomorrow.
The Kage Level ninja from Konoha had just finished clearing the battlefield today. Afterward, the ninja in Central City had all gone out and swept through the entire Rain Province in the Land of Fire.
The ninja from all three countries had worked together, so they'd moved incredibly quickly. They'd passed through like a swarm of locusts, leaving nothing behind.
Hearing the children's discussion, Jiraiya said, "It'll probably be just like Yahiko said. We can take a day off."
"Honestly, we really should rest. We've done almost twice as much work as the other squads!"
Jiraiya was clearly getting tired of running around. Now that they had a break coming up, he definitely didn't want to head out.
But he still had to follow the organization's arrangements, so every now and then he glanced at Torifu, who was helping out nearby.
