Torifu himself was brushing his teeth at an unhurried pace, humming a little tune.
He looked perfectly relaxed, completely unaware that everyone in the city was already on high alert.
"Come on, hurry up. Didn't you say we were searching the entire Land of Rain today? Don't keep the Kazekage and Tsuchikage waiting." Chirori's voice came from the living room.
There were only the two of them in the apartment now. Tsunade had returned to Konoha yesterday to reunite with Dan.
Maybe she'd gotten sick of seeing Torifu and Chirori being so lovey-dovey these past few days and had hurried back.
"Okay, I'm almost done." Torifu stepped out of the bathroom, looking neat and tidy.
"Eat up. We'll head out as soon as you're finished. I'll wait for you here in the city."
Torifu finished breakfast quickly and left the apartment, while Chirori decided to stay behind.
After all, she wouldn't be much help if she went along. It wasn't that she lacked strength; it was just that Uchiha Clan shinobi excelled at Fire Release and Lightning Release, while Yan's Fire Release was arguably the strongest in the Shinobi World.
Half of Chirori's ninjutsu would be unusable if she went. She'd be forced to hold back, making her a liability and leaving an opening for the enemy.
It was better for her to stay safely in the city. The Kazekage and Tsuchikage both had techniques that could counter Fire Release to some extent.
Actually, if the Mizukage had anything to do with this, Torifu would have insisted on bringing him along.
