Setting Out for the Other World
Torifu didn't wait around outside like a fool. Instead, he returned to the clan compound.
"How is it? Has Master started absorbing it?" Kagami asked curiously.
"Yes. Lord Tobirama has started absorbing it. He'll probably successfully advance in an hour or two."
"You don't need to worry. Has this ever failed before? My master and Chirori both advanced this way."
Kagami nodded. Even so, this was the most important thing in his master's life. As his apprentice, he was proud, but naturally worried too, afraid something might go wrong.
Fortunately, everything went smoothly, and nothing happened.
Two hours later, the previously clear sky suddenly filled with dark clouds.
The villagers across the village looked up in confusion.
"What's going on? Why is it suddenly going to rain? Lord Torifu hates rainy days the most."
"Hey! Could it be that Lord Tobirama is advancing? Have you forgotten what happened when Lord Hashirama advanced last time?"
At his words, the other villagers thought it sounded plausible. "It really could be! That means Konoha Village is about to have its fourth Six Paths Level ninja!"
The villagers were thrilled, completely ignoring the fact that this was going to be a tremendous downpour.
"What are you cheering for? Hurry home and close the windows and bring in the laundry!"
Only after a woman reminded them did the villagers come to their senses. They hurried off to bring in their laundry.
Torifu looked at the dark clouds overhead. If all that rain really came down, Konoha Village would probably turn into a swamp.
He waved his hand, and the clouds thinned a little. He stopped once he had reduced the rainfall to a heavy downpour.
