Looking at the vivid, colorful liquid in her hand, which resembled poisonous mushrooms, Fors froze for a moment.
She remembered that the Potion she'd drunk when she became an Apprentice had looked perfectly normal.
"Did I mess up the preparation? But I followed the Potion formula exactly."
"If only I could use Divination. That would make things easier."
After muttering a couple of times, she lowered her head and quietly prayed to Mr. Fool:
"Fool who does not belong to this era, mysterious ruler above the gray fog, King of Yellow and Black who wields good luck."
"I pray to you for some good luck. I hope I can advance successfully."
Above the gray fog.
After hypnotizing himself into forgetting the part about Above the Sequence on the Red Priest card, telling Justice some of the contents of the Book of Secrets as payment, and sending her away from the space above the gray fog,
Klein looked at Cyril and pointed to the banknote lying face down on the table.
"What do you plan to do with this Red Priest card?"
Cyril replied without hesitation, "Leave it with you."
"The corruption on it is even worse than I expected. If I carry it around in the real world, I'll probably end up in a Hunter's lair."
Klein nodded. With a thought, he moved the Red Priest card to the pile of odds and ends in the corner.
Then he looked at Cyril, about to ask him something, when a virtual crimson star suddenly swelled above the boundless gray fog. Ripples spread outward in circles, and a woman's voice echoed through the hall:
"Fool who does not belong to this era..."
A woman's voice. Was it Miss Justice or Miss Magician?
He collected his thoughts and looked at Klein with curiosity.
