Klein, seated at the head of the table as "The Fool," gave a slight nod and casually said, "Mm."
After waiting a few seconds and seeing that no one else intended to submit any diary pages, he said directly, "Begin."
Hearing Mr. Fool's words, Emlyn the "Moon" hurriedly turned his head, looking past Cyril toward Derrick the "Sun." "I, ahem, we Sanguine plan to purchase more Vampire Characteristics. Preferably, higher-Sequence Vampire Characteristics."
Derrick the "Sun" shook his head helplessly. "Sorry, I can't hunt stronger Vampires for the time being."
"Besides, I've already used up the contributions I accumulated before. I can't hire others to help me for now."
Emlyn froze. He had not expected the "Sun" to give him that answer. His mouth opened, and after a long while, he finally said, "Fine... Tell me when you're able to hunt Vampires. If you're worried that you aren't strong enough, I can provide some help too."
His plan to obtain a Beyonder Characteristic corresponding to a Sanguine Baron directly from the "Sun" had fallen through. He still did not have enough money for the Baron inheritance clue held by the "Hanged Man," leaving him rather depressed.
It was all because that "Sun" guy was too weak...
And where exactly was this City of Silver he kept mentioning? There was no such place on the map. There had once been a Kingdom of Silver in history, but that was before the Great Cataclysm.
Alger the "Hanged Man" glanced at Emlyn the "Moon," who had fallen into thought, and calmly said, "Do you still want that Sanguine Baron inheritance?"
"Something has happened in Bayam recently, so I can't leave for the time being. If you still want that inheritance, you'll need to wait until I leave Bayam before trying to contact that pirate."
