"Fall for me!!!"
Wu Biao let out a deafening roar, his fist swinging toward the person in front of him. He closed his eyes slightly, knowing that the moment he opened them again, his target would be sent flying.
However, in the next second, his body lurched forward, and his punch struck nothing but empty air.
Wu Biao opened his eyes in shock and confusion, only to find that everything in his field of vision had changed. The dim night had turned into a withered, golden dusk, and the long street had transformed into a small stream beneath an overpass.
The dense crowd of enemies he had been facing before had all vanished without a trace.
Even the signs in the distance had changed into characters he couldn't read, though he could vaguely make out three words... Karakura Town!
The clatter-clatter of a light rail train passing overhead jolted the dazed Wu Biao back to his senses.
"Where are they? Where did everyone go? If you've got guts, don't run! Come out and fight!!!" Wu Biao shouted angrily at his surroundings, but when he looked down at the stream at his feet, he froze.
Reflected in the small stream was a youthful face, one he was intimately familiar with. It was exactly how he looked when he was a child, appearing to be about fourteen or fifteen years old.
Wu Biao, twenty-five years old.
Aside from being a bit of a hothead, he was a decent young man.
Though, calling him a "decent young man" might not be entirely accurate, because what Wu Biao loved most was fighting. He was a pure, unadulterated battle junkie. In the words of Brother Biao himself:
Fists meeting flesh is the true romance of a man.
Wu Biao was undoubtedly a man of principle. No matter how many opponents there were or what weapons they held, he believed only in his own fists and had never used a weapon in his life.
As mentioned before, aside from his recklessness, he was fundamentally a good person.
If he saw an honest person being bullied, Brother Biao wouldn't hesitate to charge in and help.
As for why he loved fighting so much, it could perhaps be attributed entirely to his birth!
In Wu Biao's own words, he was a warrior born from the fires of war!
As for why he said that, it went back to his parents, who had been dead for who knows how many years. Both of Wu Biao's parents were typical parasites who refused to work, and somehow, these two ended up together.
Neither would work, and when Wu Biao's mother was ten months pregnant, the two of them started fighting. That battle was earth-shattering, heaven-collapsing, chaotic, and intense... uh, anyway, Wu Biao just popped out!
Didn't catch that?
Specifically, when Wu Biao's parents were fighting, it was fist-to-flesh, and they literally punched Wu Biao out of the womb.
When Wu Biao rolled onto the ground, the eccentric couple didn't even notice. His mother was so fierce that she kept the umbilical cord attached and dragged Wu Biao along while she fought three hundred rounds with his father.
It wasn't until the fight ended that they realized Wu Biao, who had been stepped on countless times and dragged around in circles during the brawl, was on the verge of death.
Then, his mother cut the umbilical cord herself and gave him some casual treatment. Wu Biao somehow managed to pull through; one has to admit, it was a miracle.
Perhaps it was because of that earth-shattering battle at his birth that Wu Biao had loved fighting since he was a child... and he had just drifted through life like that until now.
Returning to the present, Wu Biao stroked his chin, carefully examining the fair-skinned, scar-free face in the stream, and nodded with satisfaction: "As expected, fists meeting flesh is the true romance of a man. I've even become younger from all this fighting!"
This guy didn't notice anything abnormal at all; instead, he felt that he had become younger because of the fight.
"Not bad, Brother Biao really does get more handsome the more he fights!" After saying this, Brother Biao remembered that what was important now wasn't how handsome he was, but where he had ended up after fighting so blindly.
He had probably, seemingly, possibly, likely, overshot his mark.
"Could it be that I punched my way through the crowd in one charge?" Wu Biao stroked his chin with the expression of Sherlock Holmes, then nodded in agreement, quite satisfied with his own deduction.
His poor brain didn't even bother to analyze how time had flowed backward or how the night had turned into dusk!
"That's right, that must be it. It's like I'm imitating that guy named Yun, killing my way in and out three times—not bad at all!" Wu Biao nodded, then said with excitement: "Overshooting just means I can turn around and charge back to keep fighting!"
"That's it, Brother Biao is just too smart!" With a majestic roar, he turned to charge back, but as soon as he took a step, he paused.
Behind him were two groups of people. One side consisted of two individuals: a teenager with short orange hair who looked about fourteen or fifteen, and standing next to him was a burly man with somewhat dark skin.
The other side consisted of over a dozen youths, all with colorful hair and an aura that screamed "I'm a delinquent," who looked to be about twenty years old.
Both groups stared at Brother Biao in stunned silence, as if surprised by how someone had suddenly appeared there.
"Hmm? Did I knock out that many?" Brother Biao frowned at the two groups: "Hey, where are the others? How come only you few little runts are left!"
The two groups finally snapped out of it. The leader of the delinquents, a man with a lip ring, glared at Wu Biao: "Where did this brat come from? Get lost before I lose my temper!"
"What did you say?"
As soon as Wu Biao heard this, his eyes turned red. He lunged forward in a flash and punched the lip-ring delinquent square in the face. With a scream, the delinquent went flying.
Along with him went a few teeth and the lip ring embedded in them.
"How dare you call someone as smart as Brother Biao a hothead? See if I don't beat you for that!"
The remaining delinquents twitched—you already beat him, didn't you...
"Boss!" The gang finally reacted, looking at the man with the split lip, blood-filled mouth, and eyes rolled back in his head.
"He snuck up on our boss! Beat him up!!!"
With a roar, the group swarmed toward Wu Biao.
"You think you can mess with me with just this many people? I'll take you all down!" Wu Biao roared and charged straight into them.
"..." The orange-haired teenager and the dark-skinned man on the other side blinked. What kind of situation was this?
A guy suddenly appeared by the river, and then for some unknown reason, started fighting with that group of delinquents?
Two minutes later, Wu Biao gripped his left shoulder with his right hand, shaking his arm as he looked down at the thugs groaning on the ground before him, and gave a disdainful smirk: "You dare to act tough in front of Brother Biao with just this many people!"
Only then did he turn around to look at the two dumbfounded people behind him, tilting his head: "Why didn't you two join in? That big black guy looks like he can fight; why not all come at me together?"
The corners of both their mouths twitched simultaneously, and they hurriedly waved their hands. The orange-haired teenager said, "I'm not with them!"
"Oh!" Brother Biao nodded and looked at the unfamiliar surroundings: "By the way, buddy, where is this? I think I might have overdone it just now; there's still a fight waiting for me back there."
The orange-haired teenager stared at Brother Biao with a strange expression for a long time before finally speaking: "This is Karakura Town."
"Huh?" Brother Biao blinked, then looked at the orange-haired teenager as if he were an idiot: "Do you really think I'm stupid? How could I end up in another province just by getting into a fight?"
"What province?" The orange-haired teenager blinked, looking completely bewildered: "This really is Karakura Town!"
Wu Biao narrowed his eyes: "You don't look like you're lying. Could I have really fought my way out of the province?" Brother Biao rubbed his chin, suddenly feeling that he was becoming more and more formidable—he had fought his way from the city center all the way out of the province.
"Forget it, whatever!" That was the style of Brother Biao; if he couldn't figure something out, he simply stopped thinking about it, his heart being incredibly carefree. He turned to look at the two of them: "Meeting is fate. You two buddies, tell me your names?"
"Kurosaki Ichigo," the orange-haired teenager replied instinctively.
Seeing him answer, the big guy on the side also muttered in a muffled voice: "Sado Yasutora."
"What kind of weird names are those!" Wu Biao curled his lip, then turned and walked away, though he still waved a hand at them over his shoulder: "I'm Wu Biao. If anyone bullies you in the future, just mention my name, no problem at all!"
Kurosaki Ichigo and Sado Yasutora watched as Brother Biao's figure gradually disappeared, both of them wearing expressions of utter confusion...
Who on earth was that guy?
