The night after Aizen's defection!
The 4th Division's General Infirmary was anything but quiet in the dead of night. It wasn't because anyone was still receiving treatment; all the treatments had been completed the previous day, and all that remained was recuperation.
The reason for the noise was the deafening snoring echoing through the General Infirmary. Of all the snores, the loudest came from the room at the far end on the right side of the third floor. If you opened the doors to the nearby rooms, you'd find that several of them were empty.
That would have been perfectly normal in peacetime. But... with the Ryoka invasion and Aizen's defection having just taken place, there simply weren't enough rooms in the entire 4th Division General Infirmary.
In other words, having an empty room at a time like this was astonishing. It wasn't that there were no patients... it was just that the snoring from the room at the far end on the right was so loud that nobody could bear to stay in the nearby rooms.
In the end, they all moved out, preferring to sleep on the floor in the corridor rather than stay anywhere near that room. That showed just how thunderous the snoring of the person inside was!
"This is the place, right?" A head slowly poked out from the dim stairwell, stealthily peering toward the room at the far end on the right.
If you went around him and looked behind the stairs, you'd find the stairwell packed with figures. There were more than a hundred of them!
