After arresting the intruder, Dr. Banner continued studying the hammer. He was intensely interested in the strange phenomenon it had unleashed.

Although Coulson personally handled the interrogation, Oaks was the chief interrogator.

After all, that was the fundamental reason Nick Fury had insisted on bringing him in.

Before entering the interrogation room, however, Oaks spoke with Coulson.

"If not for your assessment, Consultant Oaks, I would instinctively have taken him for a mercenary—

Coulson nodded slightly. Though the consultant's question had nearly made him lose his composure just now, the man's reasoning did make a great deal of sense.

Oaks's words changed Coulson's expression.
