When I saw the Cannon Fodder sitting in the audience sobbing uncontrollably, at that moment I thought to myself: if I could do it all over again, I would definitely win it all! (Just kidding)

Alright, no more messing around. As the title suggests, this book is a Second Playthrough. I am very honored to have made it onto the Sanjiang list. While some big-name authors might be used to this, for a newbie like me, it's still quite exciting.

The performance of this book has been better than I imagined—meaning it far exceeded my expectations. To be able to stand out in such a competitive category as light novels and even take first place on the new book chart, I am very grateful for the support of the old readers who followed over from Cannon Fodder. Without you, the early stages might have been a total bust (sad).

Now, let's talk about Second Playthrough. I learned from the experience of my previous book, Cannon Fodder, and didn't expand the world-building too broadly right away. I only set up five heroines and five countries. I estimate that the length for each heroine and their corresponding country will be around 150,000 to 200,000 words.

The general direction of this book is actually right there in the title: letting the protagonist experience the "love" of those paper-thin characters who were previously left to gather dust in storage!

I have set different roles and personality traits for the five heroines, and I personally believe it should cover about eighty percent of a normal person's fetishes! So, everyone can look forward to what's coming next.

The Saintess and Zero have already been brought out into the open. As for the remaining three, I have hinted at the character designs for two of them, the Dragon Girl and the Succubus—I wonder if anyone noticed. As for the last one, the Elf, please allow me to keep that a secret for now.

I also want to emphasize one thing: the Shuraba (love triangle hell) is not the main plot of this book! Being yandere-slashed is the main plot, hey!!

And don't worry, the yandere-slashing will come in all sorts of varieties. I will never let you get bored, and I will satisfy everyone's desire to be "slashed" in various ways!

Finally, the male lead will not be oblivious! He will not be a saint who resists temptation!

Furthermore, he is a master of escaping at low health and counter-killing at a sliver of health!

Counter-killing the yandere-slashers—and doing it beautifully, elegantly, and viciously "counter-killing" those who want to slash him, then watching their defeat CGs—is the biggest thrill (in my opinion) that I have set for this book.

This book will be officially published next Friday. I will try my best to stockpile chapters, but since I write quite slowly, there will be a mass release upon launch, though I can't guarantee how many. I can only say I'll do my best!

One more mention about the fan group: I thought about it, and since we are still in the public release period, I won't set a threshold for now. Once it goes live, I'll change it back to a 1-fan-value requirement, because I noticed in the backend that many people were just tipping one yuan (100 Qidian coins) just to get that 1 fan value, and I feel like I'm doing something shady.
