Dragonblood Warrior

Zhao Nan had been cultivating in his room. As soon as the two came to, he stood up, opened the door, and left his room, heading to Hogg's.

When Zhao Nan had carried the unconscious pair to their rooms, he hadn't put them in their own rooms. Instead, he'd put them both in Hogg's, so he could deal with anything that came up right away.

Zhao Nan had just reached the door when Hogg's room opened.

"Mr. Zhao Nan!"

"Teacher!"

Hogg and Linley greeted Zhao Nan.

Zhao Nan nodded to them and asked, "Now that you've become Dragonblood Warriors, how do you feel?"

Hogg and Linley were both taken aback by Zhao Nan's question.

After waking up in bed, they had come straight out without checking on their physical condition.

But after hearing Zhao Nan's question, they both examined themselves.

"Just as the Dragonblood Secret Codex says, the first time you 'transform into a dragon,' your entire body is completely remade. Both the inside and the outside are transformed."

Hogg had been a sixth-level warrior before, and had far better control over his body than Linley. So he was the first to notice the changes within it.

After Hogg finished speaking, Linley turned to Zhao Nan, his face alight with excitement. "Teacher, I feel so strong now! I'm dozens of times stronger than I was before."

Linley had read in the Dragonblood Secret Codex that awakening a Dragonblood Warrior's bloodline would greatly improve one's physical attributes.

But he hadn't expected his body to become so much stronger after awakening his own bloodline.

Seeing Linley and Hogg looking eager to test themselves, Zhao Nan smiled. "Why don't we head to the back mountain and see how strong you've become?"

Hogg and Linley both nodded in agreement.

Their conversation drew Ace and the Bark Five Brothers over. Wharton, Hillman, and Hiri came along with them as well.

As for Sathius, he was too large to fit inside, so he had spent the night resting on the back mountain instead of entering a room.

Seeing the crowd grow, Zhao Nan waved his hand and led everyone toward the back mountain.

Once they arrived, Hogg stayed put and looked at Linley, who was eager to try his strength. "You go first, Linley! I'll have a turn afterward!"

Linley didn't hesitate. He clenched his fist, naturally roused the Dragonblood Battle Qi within his body, and swung at a rock in front of him.

"Boom..."

A tremendous crash rang out. The half-man-high rock was shattered by Linley's punch, and countless fragments flew in every direction.

"Fifth level.

"Linley, you're now as strong as a fifth-level warrior."

Seeing the destruction Linley had wrought with his attack, Zhao Nan couldn't help commenting.

Linley smiled at Zhao Nan's words.

At that moment, he felt that all the pain he'd endured had been worth it.

He'd trained so hard, yet remained only a third-level warrior. But after awakening his bloodline, he'd jumped two levels in one go.

"Linley, try transforming into a dragon, too," Zhao Nan said. He wanted to see Linley's strength more precisely.

"That's right, Linley. Give it a try," Hogg said, looking equally expectant.

Linley nodded at Zhao Nan and Hogg. He wanted to find out just how strong he was after transforming into a dragon.

With a thought, Linley controlled the Dragonblood Battle Qi in his dantian and set it circulating.

As the Dragonblood Battle Qi flowed, streams of blue-black energy surged from his dantian and spread throughout his body, reaching every limb and bone.

"Shhk..."

A low sound rang out. Black dragon scales quickly appeared across Linley's skin, followed by a nearly one-meter-long, iron-hard black tail sprouting from the base of his spine. Then a row of spikes emerged from his back.

Linley looked just like Sathius, only smaller.

After completing his transformation, Linley exclaimed, "Teacher, Father, I feel like my whole body is overflowing with strength!"

Linley couldn't hold back his excitement.

It was only natural. Great strength could always leave people dazzled.

After taking stock of the changes to his body, Linley raised a hand and looked at the scaled claws on his fingers. He then savagely struck a person-high rock in front of him.

The instant his claws met the rock, Linley felt as though his hand had plunged into tofu.

"Rumble..."

Another loud crash followed as Linley's hand sank into the rock. The stone crumbled into a pile of dust.

"Hah!"

Linley pulled his arm back, then pushed off the ground with both legs and shot forward. He began attacking the rocks and trees around him.

Then he kicked off the ground again, turned in midair, and whipped the one-meter-long dragon tail on his back. It cut through the air with a series of sharp whistles.

Zhao Nan and the others didn't stop Linley. They simply watched as he tried out different kinds of attacks.

More than an hour later, Linley finally stopped.

Seeing that Linley had finished, Zhao Nan said, "Now that you've tested yourself, Linley, stay put. Don't transform back yet, or you'll end up completely naked!"

Linley stared at him for a moment, then nodded.

He remembered that his clothes had been torn apart when he transformed into a Dragonblood Warrior. If he changed back now, he really would be left naked.

After speaking to Linley, Zhao Nan continued, "Without transforming, Linley, you're as strong as a fifth-level warrior. After transforming into a dragon, you're as strong as a sixth-level warrior."

Having finished, Zhao Nan left Linley alone and turned to Hogg. "Mr. Hogg, why don't you give it a try? Let me see how your strength has changed!"

Like Linley, Hogg tested his strength with a few attacks. Zhao Nan then said, "Mr. Hogg, your human-form strength has already surpassed that of a sixth-level warrior. You've reached the seventh level."

Afterward, Zhao Nan had Hogg test a full transformation into a dragon.

But thinking of Linley's situation, Hogg felt that at his age, he couldn't transform completely like Linley.

So Hogg only tried a partial transformation.
