The lowest level of the Pyramid.

The darkness here seemed to have existed since ancient times, so dense it was almost tangible.

In the pitch-black gloom, "people" in black robes gathered toward the center of the room.

There were eleven black robes in all, holding their breath as they spread out around the area.

A terrifying red glow flickered in their eyes; Infrared Vision allowed them to see things in the dark.

From time to time, they exhaled a plume of hot smoke, as if there were a blazing furnace inside their bodies.

They waited in silence, waiting for the invaders to arrive.

They did not have to wait long.

Soon, two points of golden light shone in the darkness above the room. The next second, Golden Rays swept across, cutting open the metal grating above.

Azu flew out of the passage and crashed to the ground like a small meteorite, making the entire room shudder.

Azu raised his head, golden light shining deep in his pupils, making his eyes look like two miniature suns!

Although he did not have Infrared Vision, he could use the light from his "Heat Ray" to pierce the darkness and see.

And so he saw the black robes around him, some standing and some crouching, completing the encirclement.

Standing inside the ring, Azu calmly looked at the black robes one by one, even counting them off. "One, two, three."

"Mm, eleven of you, plus the one I killed earlier."

"That meets the target."

These black robes actually could not understand what Azu was saying. The two sides did not speak the same language. But Azu's casual, indifferent demeanor enraged them.

In their ancient memories, a few fragments still remained. In those fragments, humans were supposed to be humble before them, terrified, afraid.
