Background and History
Wu Changkong was a leading young talent at Shrek Academy, once ranked among the top five on the Youth Genius Ranking. Zhuo Shi was his teacher and regarded him as a son; Shen Yi is his junior fellow apprentice. Wu Changkong later left Shrek, and his cultivation stalled after the departure of Long Bing, whom he also calls Bing’er 3 75 301.
At Donghai Academy, he reunited with Lu Li, an old friend and former tournament rival. Learning that the eighteen-year-old Lu Li had already become a Titled Douluo left Wu Changkong shocked and embarrassed about his own lack of progress. The two went on to teach together, first arranging for Tang Wulin and Xie Xie to join Class One and later instructing Zero Class 3 5 21.
Lu Li gave him Mysterious Ice Grass to treat his hidden injuries. Wu Changkong initially refused such a valuable gift, but accepted it after Lu Li insisted. He subsequently broke through to Soul Saint and resumed steady cultivation 41 50 128 299.

Wu Changkong’s distant manner gives way to warmth around people he trusts. He is protective of his students: when Tang Wulin collapsed, he sought medical help and contacted Lu Li rather than continue his own cultivation. He is stern but hands-on as a teacher, sparring at cultivation levels suited to his students and giving individual combat guidance.
