Water Release: Water Palm Prison Technique!

A week passed quietly. After a week of rest and replenishment, Jiogan and the others had returned to peak condition and were about to take on the second phase of their Patrol Mission!

Inside the Command Tent, the six members of Patrol Squad 36 stood in formation before the desk. "Maruboshi Kosuke, your Patrol Squad 36 will be assigned to the southern forest region of the Eastern Front!" Torifu Akimichi said, pointing to a location on the map atop the desk.

This location was the second defensive zone behind the coastline defense area, surrounded by forest. The patrol area was roughly the same size as before, but it was much farther from the outpost. The journey would take half a day, whereas the eastern coastline had only taken three hours.

After accepting the mission, Patrol Squad 36 immediately set off for the new defensive zone.

It was worth mentioning that this defensive zone was very close to Jiogan's hometown. His father, Takoyakiwan, had grown up in a Fishing Village on the southeastern coastline of the Land of Fire. However, Jiogan no longer had any relatives in that village.

It could be called an upgraded version of the Water Prison Technique!

It overcame many of the Water Prison Technique's limitations, such as needing to cast it at close range and having to keep a hand in contact with the Water Prison to continuously consume Chakra and maintain it.

Jiogan had created this Ninjutsu with some reference to Gaara's Sand Binding Coffin. However, unlike the bloody killing power of Sand Binding Coffin, the Water Palm Prison Technique focused on restraining enemies. For now, its future development would prioritize increasing the Water Palm's speed.

In Jiogan's vision, the Water Palm Prison Technique was a highly mobile control-type Ninjutsu. On the battlefield, elusive Water Palms would swiftly seize control of the entire field and become the enemy's nightmare.

At present, only Kurama Feiyun knew about this newly developed Ninjutsu. However, Jiogan had no intention of deliberately concealing it. As the first Ninjutsu he had truly developed himself, he would make it his signature technique rather than a trump card.

The Water Release: Water Palm Prison Technique was A-rank in difficulty. The ordinary Water Prison Technique was already B-rank.

What Jiogan did not know was that this technique would one day earn him the nickname Cage Maniac on the battlefield!

Jiogan and Kurama Feiyun were in the second tier of the defensive zone, at its center, five kilometers from the battle. Inuzuka Yoru and Okamura Taro were in the first tier and closest to the scene, while Maruboshi Kosuke and Anima were in the third tier, the farthest away.

"Yoru and Taro have already gone to provide support. They'll reach the battlefield soon!" Jiogan sensed. "Feiyun, pick up the pace! There are three Chunin among the enemy! I'm worried Yoru and the others won't be able to hold them off. They could be in danger!"

With that, the two accelerated once more. They were already close enough to hear the sounds of battle ahead!

Inuzuka Yoru and Okamura Taro soon arrived at the scene. The Konoha ninja in the defensive zone were being forced back step by step, with a Chunin desperately holding the line at the front.

"Earth Release: Earth Flow Wall!" Okamura Taro immediately used Earth Release Ninjutsu to block part of Kirigakure's attacks! Inuzuka Yoru also hurled several shuriken toward the Kirigakure ninja!

Kirigakure's assault stalled briefly. That brief pause gave the Konoha ninja a chance to catch their breath and regroup!

Six against ten, and Kirigakure still held the advantage! Two Kirigakure ninja used the Great Waterfall Technique, spewing torrents of water toward Inuzuka Yoru and the others. Okamura Taro immediately used Earth Release: Earth Flow Wall again to defend, but he clearly could not withstand the combined assault of two people! The Water Stream curved around and struck from behind. Two Konoha ninja used the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, canceling Kirigakure's attack, but producing a thick mist in the process!

Seeing this, the Kirigakure ninja revealed vicious smiles! Kirigakure ninja were best at fighting within the mist.

The Konoha ninja temporarily lost their vision and fell into an extremely passive situation.

"Woof! Woof!" Ranmaru barked, and Inuzuka Yoru immediately warned, "Taro, there's an enemy in front of you!"

Okamura Taro reacted at once, firing several shuriken forward. Then came a scream—one Kirigakure ninja had been taken down!

"So there's a Sensor Ninja? From the Inuzuka Clan?" the leading Kirigakure ninja said viciously. "Take him out first!"

With that, a Kirigakure Chunin charged toward Inuzuka Yoru and slashed with his blade, only to be kicked flying by a sudden kick!

"Leaf Great Whirlwind!"

Jiogan had arrived just in time!

"Tch, more reinforcements? Kill them all!" the Kirigakure leader ordered.

Jiogan brought his hands together. "Water Release: Water Wall!"

A rapidly spinning Water Tornado appeared, carrying powerful currents of air as it dispersed both Kirigakure's attacks and the surrounding mist!

Seeing Jiogan neutralize all of their attacks the moment he appeared, the Kirigakure leader immediately realized that a troublesome opponent had arrived!

But Jiogan did not give them a second chance to attack. He used Water Release: Water Gun, firing three dark-blue Water Balls in succession at the nearest Kirigakure Chunin and two Genin. The three were killed before they could react!

At the same time, Kurama Feiyun arrived at the scene. She stepped directly to the front, drawing Kirigakure's attention, then immediately used the Hell Viewing Technique, dragging several Kirigakure ninja into a Genjutsu!

Seizing the opportunity, Inuzuka Yoru immediately used Fang Over Fang, taking out two people on the spot!

However, the commotion was too great, causing Kirigakure's remaining six ninja to break free from the Genjutsu and retreat at once!

Jiogan did not give them the chance to escape. He used Water Release: Water Palm Prison Technique! Six Water Palms flew toward six Kirigakure ninja. The nearest Genin was caught by a Water Palm and immediately trapped, losing the ability to move!

Jiogan frowned as three more Water Palms flew out. The Kirigakure leader was terrified out of his wits and threw another Explosive Tag, destroying one Water Palm. However, he had no chance to use a third. The remaining two Water Palms slammed together, knocking the Kirigakure leader unconscious before forming a Water Prison around him!

Thus, the Water Palm Prison Technique made its first appearance in the Ninja World! The battle ended because of it!
