The real world.
At night, a man with a large nose and black-rimmed glasses sat before his computer, starting a livestream on a video platform that never seemed to go out of style.
As for the title of the stream, it was naturally "Welcome to Fan Gege's New Anime Wonderful House."
"First."
"I'm the real first."
"Wherever Fan Gege is, there I am!"
As an influencer in the anime section, every move Fan Gege made online drew the attention of his fans.
The moment the stream went live, many people received notifications from the video platform, clicking into the room one after another to watch what kind of antics Fan Gege would get up to tonight.
However, Fan Gege rarely pulled any stunts during his actual livestreams.
He usually saved those for when he produced his edited videos later.
"Good evening everyone, I am your favorite Fan Gege."
After a brief opening, the large-nosed man with black-rimmed glasses opened the list of new anime and muttered, "With the arrival of April, many new shows have already met with everyone."
"Today, Fan Gege will take you all to see what these new shows are like."
Scrolling with his mouse and looking at the several new shows that had already aired their first or even second episodes, Fan Gege fell into a dilemma.
Months ago, he had specifically produced a video providing a detailed introduction to these new shows.
Except for original anime without source material, he had already read the original works of all the other new shows and knew how the plots unfolded.
"So... it looks like I really have to start with the original anime."
Fan Gege filtered out the shows he had already read the source material for and began searching for original works.
Suddenly, a show with the word "Livestream" in the top right corner caught his eye.
"A livestream anime?"
Fan Gege frowned. Could it be an anime about livestreaming?
He opened the synopsis and discovered that this show was actually broadcast in a livestream format.
Unlike ordinary anime where the entire video is uploaded and viewers can drag the progress bar at will.
This anime, titled Classroom of the Elite, split each episode into two time slots.
On Fridays, it was broadcast in a livestream format, and viewers had no way to skip ahead.
Once the stream ended, the content of that episode would be uploaded to the site as a standalone video, at which point it became a regular anime.
"A gimmick I've never seen before." Fan Gege's eyes lit up slightly.
Even as a veteran of the anime section who had explained and roasted countless shows, he couldn't help but exclaim when he saw this.
"You're quite the tease."
Moving his mouse to click on the show marked with the livestream tag, Fan Gege looked like he was talking to himself, but he was actually speaking to the netizens watching his stream. "Today, let's take a look at this Classroom of the Elite."
"I must have missed it when I was doing the new anime guide, so I have absolutely no impression of it."
Fan Gege figured it was just an oversight on his part and didn't think much of it, quickly immersing himself in the world of the animation.
The stage for the story's beginning was a bus filled with students in red uniforms.
"Why isn't Fan Gege watching his favorite isekai anime?"
"Nonsense, Fan Gege's favorite is clearly NTR anime!"
Ignoring the roasting in the chat, Fan Gege began watching the content of the anime and shared his thoughts. "I think this brown-haired guy should be the male lead of this show."
"He looks a bit expressionless and stoic; he's a rare type of male lead in the world of 2D."
"People like this can always think calmly when encountering a crisis, so he shouldn't give the audience too bad of an experience."
However, it wasn't long before Fan Gege was proven wrong.
An elderly woman boarded the bus, but the seats were already full, leaving her nowhere to sit.
The brown-haired boy, acting as the protagonist, not only failed to give up his seat but also expressed his inner thoughts.
"We young people are more useful than the elderly, so we are more qualified to sit in this seat."
Fan Gege's face blossomed into a smile, as if he were enjoying the show, and he muttered, "Heaven-defying, this is a bit heaven-defying."
In his view, if the protagonist had obtained some kind of treasure and didn't want to give it up, then saying such things might be understandable.
But the protagonist was just occupying a bus seat; to specifically justify such behavior and make such a statement, wasn't it a bit of an overreaction?
Thinking of this, Fan Gege pressed the pause button and shared his opinion.
"I think this male lead is overreacting a bit. He just didn't want to give up his seat, yet he came up with all these excuses."
Fan Gege kept laughing, his shoulders shaking. "It reminds me of a meme posted by a web novel editor."
"It goes like this: that web novel editor, after seeing many stories written by authors, said those people had a huge problem—the cultivation world in their novels was so resource-scarce that it was hard to even scramble for a bite of shit."
"Then, the protagonist would go through all kinds of hardships and finally manage to snatch that bite of shit from other supporting characters."
"I don't understand web novels, nor have I ever written one, but I think the editor's main point is to mock those people for making a mountain out of a molehill."
Fan Gege moved the mouse, pointing the white cursor at the expressionless Ayanokouji Kiyotaka.
"I feel like the protagonist of this story is just like that; it seems like he thinks a lot, but in the end, he's just thinking about that, that kind of shitty stuff, right? It just feels especially funny."
"It fits my stereotype of people from over there."
"Hearing Fan Gege put it that way, I really want to laugh too."
"I see this anime has a 'battle of wits' tag; it wouldn't be a battle of wits in this regard, would it?"
"That would be too moronic."
After finishing his thoughts, Fan Gege continued watching the anime.
The camera shot shifted to the girl sitting beside the brown-haired boy.
The girl had long black hair, sharp and determined vermilion eyes, and her pretty face radiated a cold aura that kept strangers at a distance.
"Yukinoshita?"
"She looks like the black-long-straight type; it's definitely my wife Yukino."
"Don't troll, if my wife Yukino came over, she would definitely give up her seat."
"Everyone above is wrong, Yukino is my wife."
Fan Gege's brow furrowed slightly, and his expression became a bit strange.
He just felt that the first impression this work gave off wasn't very good.
Logically speaking, the male lead, the black-haired girl, and all the students on the bus—they were all students, so they shouldn't be that indifferent; they should at least have some sympathy for an elderly person.
Is it really necessary to do nothing like this?
Just as Fan Gege was harboring doubts in his heart, a boy with supermodel-level looks walked up to the protagonist and took out a thousand-yen bill.
"Classmate, can you give up your seat to the old lady?"
"I am willing to pay one thousand yen."
