One Punch Kills Mo Basi!

"Hmm?"

Inside the Divine Temple, Medusa, who was just preparing to go find Gu Shenge, sensed a Dou Emperor's aura suddenly erupt within the city. It was quite familiar. She turned her head toward the outside of the hall, a trace of confusion appearing in her beautiful eyes. Who had provoked him again?

With a flash of red, Medusa vanished from where she stood.

Inside the city, Mo Basi watched Gu Shenge walking slowly toward him, radiating a terrifying pressure. A flicker of panic crossed his snake-like eyes, yet he dared not show weakness, releasing his own aura in an attempt to contend with him.

But a Dou King is, after all, only a Dou King; how could he possibly contend with a Dou Emperor? Facing the steadily approaching Gu Shenge, Mo Basi could only grit his teeth against the pressure and retreat step by step.

"I said to let these humans go. Did you not understand me? Or are you looking for death?"

Gu Shenge's gaze was icy, and his voice was like the biting wind of deep winter, making Mo Basi feel a sudden chill throughout his body. A cold sensation surged from his tailbone straight into his brain, as if he had fallen into an ice cellar.

Even so, Mo Basi braced himself, forcing his body to stand tall as he righteously questioned Gu Shenge.

"Wang Fu, do not forget your status. You are the Wang Fu of our Snake-People Tribe, the husband of our Queen. The humans capture our people as slaves, so we capture humans as slaves—we are merely returning to them what they have done to us!"

"Is it just because you are also human that we must release these human slaves and ignore the harm the humans have brought upon our tribe?! What about our people who were captured and made into slaves? Who will let them come back!"

Mo Basi's impassioned words resonated with the surrounding Snake-People.

The crowd of Snake-People nodded in agreement, their gazes toward Gu Shenge shifting from awe to disgust.

As the Wang Fu of their tribe, he actually allowed humans to enslave their kind, yet forbade the Snake-People from retaliating. Such a person was simply unworthy of being the Queen's husband!

Supported by the surrounding Snake-People, Mo Basi's rough, ferocious face revealed a smug smile, his eyes filled with mockery as he looked at Gu Shenge.

Let's see how you clean up this mess. Once this spreads and incites the opposition of the entire Snake-People Tribe, even with the Queen protecting you, don't think you'll have an easy time here!

Yue Mei could no longer stand by and angrily rebuked Mo Basi.

"Mo Basi, shut your mouth. Don't think we don't know what you're planning. You just want to use this opportunity to ruin the Wang Fu's reputation in the tribe and make the people loathe him."

"Setting aside the fact that the Wang Fu is unaware of the grievances between the Snake-People, the Jia Ma Empire, and the Chu Yun Empire, if you saw a Snake-Person being treated as a slave by humans, would you remain indifferent? Stung by Yue Mei's retort, Mo Basi's smile faltered, his diamond-shaped pupils revealing gloom and a trace of fury.

He hadn't expected Yue Mei to defend Gu Shenge so fiercely, and he cursed her internally as a traitorous wench.

However, Gu Shenge remained unaffected by Mo Basi's verbal attacks, as he had never cared about the status of being the Snake-People's Wang Fu. He had married Medusa, not the Snake-People Tribe, so to him, the tribe was inconsequential.

Mo Basi had spoken rudely to him twice and caused him trouble, which greatly annoyed him. Since he was so fond of courting death, he would grant this fellow his wish.

Gu Shenge's gaze swept over the Snake-People before returning to Mo Basi, his voice deep and utterly indifferent.

"Are you finished? If you are, then go to your death."

"What?" Mo Basi was stunned. The next instant, his internal alarm bells rang out as if he had been targeted by some great terror!

Gu Shenge's fair, jade-like right hand lifted slightly, his slender fingers clenching into a fist. A trace of supreme, holy, and masculine aura condensed—vast, boundless, and incredibly domineering! It was as if the Hao Yang had descended upon the world, illuminating the heavens and earth, compelling all to bow.

At the same time, the surrounding Snake-People and humans felt a supreme divine might pressing directly upon their souls. Their minds trembled, their faces filled with terror, feeling a weight on their backs as if an ancient divine mountain had collapsed upon them, forcing them all to kneel on the ground—even the Dou Emperor-level experts were no exception.

Without any flashy movements, Gu Shenge swung his right fist in a simple, clean, straight punch. Yet, it caused Mo Basi's expression to change drastically; his eyes widened, filled with disbelief and fear!

He felt as if he were seeing an eternal, indestructible sun descending, carrying the imperial might of the supreme Yang that suppresses all living things and dispels darkness and misfortune. His soul trembled, his blood boiled, and his entire being felt as if it were burning up.

Mo Basi wanted to beg for mercy, but he couldn't utter a single word. He could only watch helplessly as that wheel of Hao Yang crossed the infinite distance, striking with Gu Shenge's fist, burning and erasing his body and soul until he turned into a wisp of dust!

A one-hit kill.

A mere Dou King—did people really expect Gu Shenge to fight him for three hundred rounds before killing him? Was this a game? A joke?

The arriving Medusa saw Gu Shenge reduce Mo Basi to ashes with a single punch, along with the terrifying divine might displayed when he clenched his fist, and a trace of shock appeared on her enchanting face.

She even had the illusion that even she, a Dou Ancestor, might not be able to withstand that punch.

After obliterating Mo Basi with one blow, Gu Shenge slowly relaxed his fingers and lowered his hand. The terrifying pressure dissipated, and the kneeling Snake-People and humans felt their souls lighten, yet they did not dare to stand, remaining there shivering.

A familiar fragrance drifted over, and he turned his head to see Medusa flying in from afar.

Seeing his beloved wife arrive, Gu Shenge smiled, his voice gentle as he asked Medusa, "My dear wife, why have you come?"

There was no tension at all, as if the person he had just killed was not her capable subordinate, but an insignificant ant.

The shock on Medusa's beautiful face faded, replaced by deep displeasure. After all, one must consider the master before beating the dog; Gu Shenge had executed one of her leaders without even notifying her, and even as her husband, that was unacceptable.

Everything must have its proper procedure; his actions made her lose face.

"You must give this Queen an explanation," Medusa demanded coldly.

He signaled for Yue Mei to explain while he walked toward the humans who had been held as slaves. Bringing two fingers together, a wisp of Morning Dawn Sword Radiance condensed. With a flash of golden light, the iron collars on the humans' necks and feet were shattered.

Feeling the weight lift from their necks and ankles, the humans could hardly believe it. Several of the older ones burst into tears, while two children with wide, innocent eyes touched their small necks and feet, revealing happy smiles. The others knelt before Gu Shenge in unison, kowtowing repeatedly to thank him.

This scene touched Gu Shenge deeply.

Medusa also heard the sequence of events from Yue Mei and questioned the few Snake-People from the Mo Snake Tribe, clarifying the truth.

Everything was Mo Basi's own doing.

Mo Basi had originally intended to send a batch of human slaves to disgust Gu Shenge and retaliate for the humiliation he had suffered two days prior, but he had spotted Gu Shenge wandering the city upon his arrival.

Thus, Mo Basi devised a scheme, having his subordinates intentionally drive these humans in front of Gu Shenge to trigger his sympathy, thereby forcing him to step forward and demand their release.

Mo Basi would then stand out when Gu Shenge made his request, opposing him and using the hatred between the Snake-People and humans to incite the others, making them loathe and resent Gu Shenge, thus ruining his reputation within the tribe.

However, Mo Basi had not expected that Gu Shenge cared nothing for his reputation among the Snake-People, ultimately resulting in him being blown to bits by a single punch.

But this still left Medusa feeling dissatisfied; after all, Mo Basi was her subordinate, and his fate should have been decided by her, not executed arbitrarily.
