Though the enemy was terrifyingly powerful.
But the saying was true—courage was mankind's hymn.
To the superheroes of the Avengers, their mindset was completely different from The Seven's. Even when facing an opponent who seemed invincible, they would not lose faith.
That was what true superheroes were.
Even knowing they could not win, they would still fight with everything they had.
They knew.
Behind them were the lights of countless homes.
"Try this, you stinking sewer-born piece of filth!" Obadiah's rough voice boomed across the battlefield through his armor's external speakers.
Having replaced Tony Stark as Iron Man across many universes, he did possess a measure of the bearing an Iron Man should have. His roar drowned out the howling wind and the alarms in the distance.
Of course.
The appearance of his armor was still very different from the Iron Man in Ian's memory.
Obadiah's armor was enormous.
The Iron Monger armor he piloted was like a mobile steel fortress, the heavy armor plates on its shoulders and chest sliding open to either side with a clacking sound.
"Rumble."
Immediately, the densely packed launch ports beneath were revealed, flashing with dangerous red light! Yes, unlike Tony Stark's "enough firepower will do" approach.
Obadiah believed in overwhelming heavy firepower, which was also why the mecha was so huge. Of course, it might also have had something to do with needing to fight Hulk, so it had been designed larger for multiple uses.
"Die!"
Obadiah activated the weapon systems. The next second, it was as if a swarm of metal bees poured out of the hive! Hundreds of micro high-explosive missiles, armor-piercing warheads, and pulse energy rounds mixed among them streaked forward with piercing shrieks and dazzling tail flames, like a downpour of destruction, instantly blanketing the airspace where Zarathos was!
