"Sakura, are you okay?"
Eito was somewhat surprised.
He had originally thought Sakura would be even more flustered, after all, this was the girl's first kiss.
However, she had only been a bit inexperienced at the start, and her movements became increasingly bold, to the point where even he eventually had to follow the girl's rhythm.
Could it be that Sakura is a lecher?
He didn't know.
Shaking his head, he helped Sakura up.
After Sakura regained her composure, her body leaned against his side, and to his surprise, she soon rested her head on his shoulder.
"About that..." He wanted to clarify what had just happened; if Sakura didn't mind, he was willing to take full responsibility.
However, Sakura spoke softly:
"I don't mind... I just want to stay by your side... If you don't want to, then let's just pretend what happened didn't happen, and we, we can still be friends."
Sakura felt anxious inside; this was the first time she had ever said something that sounded like a confession.
He was so outstanding, and there were so many beautiful girls around him a hundred times prettier than her; the probability of him liking her was very low.
What if she got rejected?
Could they still be friends?
Would he think she was a shameless woman?
The more she thought about it, the more she regretted it.
In the end, she wished she could find a hole to crawl into.
If she had known, she wouldn't have said anything.
Feeling the increasingly negative atmosphere beside him, Eito said:
"Of course you can, because I like you."
"...Mm."
"Sakura, what's wrong?"
Looking at the girl who had completely buried her head in her arms, he asked.
A muffled voice came from below:
"It's nothing... um... I'm just happy, you don't need to worry about me."
"Alright then." He patted Sakura's head.
He unexpectedly discovered that her body was extremely hot, and moist steam was even rising from the top of her head.
This must be—
Eito roughly guessed it; she was shy.
Just like that, he leaned quietly against the large tree.
The noisy sounds from the distance drifted over from time to time, and among them, the voices of Ike and Shinohara were the loudest.
They were probably clashing over the distribution of issues again.
And Hirata, acting as the peacemaker, was playing his usual role.
Class D really was full of trouble.
But precisely because of that, it was exceptionally interesting.
A life of following the rules is always boring; conflict, arguments, contradictions, and accidents are the seasoning of life.
Eito focused on the results, but he also enjoyed the process.
A Class D without the 3 Idiots would be very dull; it is because of their existence that this story becomes wonderful.
Chapter 40: The Disguised Matsushita
Sometimes, one shouldn't go too far in life.
However, that rule did not exist in Eito's personal creed.
Doing what he liked to do, saying what he liked to say, even at the risk of being hated by girls, he would act to satisfy his own curiosity.
"Sakura, how was the taste just now?"
Although quite some time had passed, Sakura's skin still retained a slight pink hue, her delicate, lustrous skin looking just like a girl who had just experienced that kind of thing.
Hearing his words, Sakura was stunned for a moment, then, as if remembering something, she curled up like a hedgehog, hugging her legs with her chin resting on her knees, her cheeks slightly puffed out:
"...You just like to bully me."
How could such words be spoken aloud?
Yet, Eito said it anyway:
"I thought it was very sweet, soft, and smooth, just like jelly."
"...Ngh."
"Sakura, what's wrong?"
"N-nothing..."
Sakura turned away. What Eito didn't see was that her face had turned bright red. She clutched her heaving chest with both hands, eyes squeezed shut, as if she were still immersed in the sensation from a moment ago, or perhaps struggling to calm her racing heart.
Eito chuckled, deciding not to tease her any further.
However, pleasant moments are always destined to be interrupted.
"What are you two doing hiding here?"
Kikyo leaned over slightly, resting one hand on her leg, and smiled faintly.
Sakura remained motionless, as if she hadn't heard a word.
Eito glanced at her:
"Just resting. Do you want to join us?"
"No thanks, I have a lot to take care of. How about it, Eito? Could you come and help me out?"
"What exactly is the matter?"
"Did you catch me? Actually—" Kikyo said, "A girl in our class hurt her leg, but the girls with her can't carry her, so we were looking for a guy to help."
"Is she really that heavy?"
"Hehe, I'll pretend I didn't hear that," Kikyo laughed. "Girls aren't exactly strong, and we didn't know what to do in this situation. What if we caused a secondary injury?"
"Wouldn't it be better to ask Hirata? He'd definitely help."
"Actually, we did suggest Hirata-kun, but she said she only wants you to carry her."
"Oh?"
"Do you think she likes you?"
"I wish," Eito stood up. "Let's go, take me to her."
He turned back to give Sakura a quick reminder:
"Sakura, don't wander off, or you might get snatched by a bad guy."
"Okay."
Upon arriving at the destination, Eito saw a girl with long, wavy, tea-colored hair reaching her waist sitting on the ground. There was a bruise on her exposed calf, looking as if she had collided with something.
She was quite attractive. While she didn't quite reach the top-tier beauty and aura of Suzune or Kikyo, she wasn't far behind.
And Eito already knew her name.
Matsushita Chiaki, a member of the Karuizawa group. Her grades were excellent, and while her abilities weren't exactly top-tier, they were definitely outstanding. She also had a hobby: she liked to hide her true self, so no one actually knew her real capabilities.
Eito wasn't sure of her motives, but he had a vague guess.
He walked up to the girl and asked:
"What do you need me to do?"
Shinohara said: "She seems to be in too much pain to stand. Could you help carry her?"
"...Get on."
Eito crouched down so Matsushita could climb onto his back.
"Then... I'll leave it to you."
Matsushita wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her chest firmly against his back. He supported her thighs with his hands and stood up.
"Let's go."
There was still a distance to cover before reaching the base, and Shinohara and Kikyo were chatting ahead of them.
Just then, Matsushita leaned in and whispered into his ear:
"Does Takeda-kun think I have a good figure?"
"...Why ask that?"
"Eh, don't guys like talking about this kind of thing? Just be honest with me, I won't tell anyone."
She had a nice figure.
But he wouldn't say that. If he did in this situation, he would immediately fall into a passive position.
If he exposed his lecherous nature right from the start, he would only end up being toyed with mercilessly later on.
"Matsushita-san, are you pressing your body against me like that on purpose?"
Matsushita blinked and said:
"It is on purpose. Consider it a way to repay you, is that not allowed?"
"Fair enough."
A brief silence fell between them.
Matsushita spoke again, her tone dropping a few degrees:
"Hey, Takeda, are you hiding something?"
"Why would I hide anything?"
"I don't know." Matsushita continued, "You intentionally got the same score on the last exam. To pull that off, you'd need to have complete knowledge of the test answers, though I suppose I could barely manage that myself."
"It must have been luck."
"And I've always found the thing with Sudo strange. A guy like that actually apologized, and there were rumors before that you beat him up. Ever since then, I've felt his attitude toward you is different from how he treats others. If I'm not mistaken, that whole incident must have something to do with you."
"You're very observant, Matsushita. Do you like me, or are you just that bored?"
The girl rested her chin on his shoulder:
"That's only natural, isn't it? You're the most popular boy in class besides Hirata. And if I'm not mistaken, Maya probably likes you. As her friend, I have to carefully observe your character."
"So, what's your conclusion?"
"I'm satisfied. I'll leave Maya to you."
"...That's none of your business."
"Sigh." Matsushita let out a breath, "It looks like she doesn't stand a chance. You seem to like Kushida more."
"Is that so."
