Background / History
The current Tang San is an otherworld transmigrator who took possession of the original Tang San’s body after the latter died in infancy. The revelation devastates Ah Yin, who regards the original child as dead, and prompts Martial Soul Hall to label Tang San an “otherworld evil spirit” in a continent-wide wanted notice. 123 124
During his childhood, Tang Hao neglected him, leaving Old Jack to help provide for him. Tang San nevertheless publicly states that he does not resent Tang Hao and still considers him his father. 8 Old Jack later learns that Tang San never repaid him after growing up. 10
Tang San brought the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record from his former world. When questioned about its origin, he first claims to have found its books in a cave as a toddler, but the Light Screen identifies it as the Tang Sect’s stolen supreme inheritance. 6 7 The Record becomes the foundation of his cultivation, hidden weapons, and later Tang Sect. 5 140
Appearance
Tang San is outwardly recognized as a Blue Silver Grass spirit master, though this public image is incomplete: his martial soul is actually the Blue Silver Emperor. 145 146
- Possesses the Blue Silver Emperor, a top-tier beast martial soul and symbol of life force. 146
- Also possesses the Clear Sky Hammer, which becomes his principal combat martial soul in later stages. 146
- Has Eight Spider Lances capable of devouring life force and energy. 63
Personality
Tang San presents himself as honorable, grateful, filial, and unwilling to accept accusations against his character. When confronted over the stolen techniques, he insists that others may question his talent but not his character. 7 He also claims he will not resent Tang Hao despite his neglect. 8
The Light Screen’s disclosures repeatedly contrast this self-image with his actions and ambitions. He chooses the correct answer about the stolen Record for a reward despite considering preserving his image, fears exposure after Slaughter City’s destruction, and grows openly excited at the prospect of claiming powerful beings or rare resources for himself. 6 17 60 137
After learning that he will become a God King, Tang San becomes proud and determined to rule over all. 119 He is similarly confident that he can make the Shrek Seven Devils into gods. 122
Abilities & Skills
Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record
The Tang Sect’s supreme inheritance contains multiple cultivation methods, pharmacopeia, movement techniques, and hidden-weapon knowledge. 7
- Includes the Mysterious Heaven Skill, which cultivates soul power. 4 7
- Includes Mysterious Jade Hand, Purple Demon Eye, Controlling Crane Capturing Dragon, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, and Hundred Interpretations of Hidden Weapons. 7
- Contains knowledge for cultivating soul power and spiritual power, refining the body, movement techniques, hidden weapons, poison, and medicine. 7 8 141
- Tang San later leaves an incomplete version to the Tang Sect, omitting the Poison Chapter, Medicine Chapter, and the Mysterious Heaven Skill’s method for opening the Eight Extraordinary Meridians. 141
Blue Silver Emperor
Tang San’s apparent Blue Silver Grass martial soul is actually the Blue Silver Emperor, an inherently top-tier beast martial soul. 146
- Represents life force and formerly led the Blue Silver clan of Spirit Beasts. 146
- Its optimal path is development through life force. 146
- Later serves primarily for life-force and recovery abilities rather than direct combat. 146
- Its true nature was not fully awakened during Tang San’s early development. 146
- Its advantages cannot be replicated by ordinary Blue Silver Grass spirit masters. 145 146
Clear Sky Hammer
Tang San’s second martial soul becomes his main combat option after he reaches the higher stages of power. 71 146
- Its first Spirit Ring comes from the Sky Azure Bull Python. 71
- Tang San relies on it more than Blue Silver Emperor in later combat. 146
Eight Spider Lances
Tang San uses the Eight Spider Lances to devour life force and energy from humans and Spirit Beasts, leading the Light Screen to identify him as the strongest Evil Soul Master. 63
- Absorbs life force and vitality from living targets. 63

- Tang San considers its use against enemies unobjectionable. 63
Hidden Weapons
Tang San’s hidden weapons are a central part of his confidence, Tang Sect’s finances, and future military strength. 99 109 140
- Buddha Fury Tang Lotus — Tang San considers it capable of killing even a Title Douluo. 109
- Yama’s Invitation and Peacock Plume — advanced weapons later Tang Sect members cannot reproduce because the inherited Record lacks its poison and medicine knowledge. 141
- Tang Sect profits from hidden weapons, allowing the sect to establish itself on the continent. 140
Immortal-Herb Enhancements
Tang San consumes the Apricot Delicate Ice Grass and Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass. 146
- Grants his Blue Silver Emperor formidable toughness. 146
- Grants immunity to ice and fire damage. 146
- His cultivation is also linked to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. 145 149
Spirit Rings
- First Spirit Ring — Ten-Year Lone Bamboo; Yu Xiaogang’s selection is widely criticized as weak and unsuitable. 79
- Sixth Spirit Ring — initially associated with the Man Faced Demon Spider; its contribution to Tang San’s growth exceeds Yu Xiaogang’s. 11 12
- Original sixth hundred-thousand-year Spirit Ring — from a Soft Bone Rabbit, later replaced by the ring of an evil Soul Beast. 67
- Blue Silver Emperor ninth Spirit Ring — Titan Giant Ape. 71
- Clear Sky Hammer first Spirit Ring — Sky Azure Bull Python. 71
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record — stolen Tang Sect inheritance containing cultivation arts, pharmacopeia, and hidden-weapon methods. 5 7
- Eight Spider Lances — life-force-devouring external spirit bone/ability. 63

- Ah Yin — mother of the original Tang San; grieves and becomes enraged after learning that her infant son died and his body was possessed. 123
- Old Jack — childhood caretaker who helped Tang San survive Tang Hao’s neglect; Tang San later gives him no reward. 8 10
- Yu Xiaogang — mentor whose contribution to Tang San’s growth is judged inferior to the Man Faced Demon Spider; their relationship deteriorates as Tang San questions Yu’s guidance and Yu considers disowning him. 11 12 63 79
- Xiao Wu — Shrek companion whose trust is broken by revelations concerning Tang San’s Spirit Rings and Da Ming and Er Ming. 67 71 76
- Shrek Seven Devils — companions who initially doubt him after the Record’s origin is exposed, then decide to seek reconciliation after learning he will become a God King. 6 119 122
- Qian Renxue — future rival whom Tang San vows to defeat; she issues a continent-wide warrant for him after he is exposed as an Evil Soul Master. 76 108
- Bibi Dong — regards Tang San as a threat and seeks to eliminate him after the revelations about his actions, identity, and future power. 63 64 123
- Di Tian — Soul Beast leader who sees Tang San as a major threat and supports eliminating him before he becomes a God King. 8 122

Story Role / Major Arcs
Q&A Game Exposure
Tang San becomes a central subject of the Light Screen’s questions. The revelations expose the stolen origin of the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record, damage his relationships with his companions and mentor, and make him a target for those seeking his techniques. 5 6 7
Slaughter City and Evil Soul Master Revelation
The Light Screen reveals that Tang San destroys Slaughter City by using the Blood Swan Kiss to poison its Blood River, killing the Fallen Ones and scattering imprisoned Evil Soul Masters. He attempts to flee and considers changing his identity after the exposure. 60 He is subsequently identified as the strongest Evil Soul Master due to the Eight Spider Lances’ life-force-devouring power. 63
Soul Beast Conflict
Tang San’s Spirit Ring history and views of “evil Soul Beasts” intensify hostility with the Soul Beasts. Xiao Wu is devastated by the possibility that he will gain rings from her people, while Da Ming and Er Ming are revealed as sources for his ninth Blue Silver Emperor ring and first Clear Sky Hammer ring. 64 67 71
God King Future
Tang San completes Poseidon’s trials, inherits both the Poseidon and Asura God Positions, defeats Qian Renxue and Bibi Dong, and becomes the supreme God King. 118 Knowledge of this future causes Martial Soul Hall and the Soul Beasts to mobilize against him, while former allies seek his favor. 119 122
Tang Sect Legacy
Tang San founds the Tang Sect by absorbing the Four Single-Attribute Sects and using hidden-weapon profits to establish its influence. 140 However, he leaves later generations an incomplete Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record, withholding the Poison Chapter, Medicine Chapter, and key cultivation methods; this contributes to the Tang Sect’s later decline. 141
Blue Silver Emperor Revelation
The Light Screen reveals that Tang San’s supposed Blue Silver Grass is actually the Blue Silver Emperor. Its innate quality, life-force affinity, and immortal-herb enhancements—not Yu Xiaogang’s guidance or an ordinary Blue Silver Grass path—explain Tang San’s ability to cultivate it. 146
