Background
Ning Fengzhi leads the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, one of the Upper Three Sects. Under his leadership, the sect built Seven Treasure City around its mountain headquarters, combining commercial development with an extensive local intelligence network. As the imperial tutor, his sect’s Heaven Dou industries are exempt from taxes. 67
The sect’s strength rests heavily on its high-ranking protectors, particularly Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo. Ning regards the two as the sect’s true foundation, valuing their survival above its industries, soul bones, and even his own position as sect master. 51
Appearance

- Later appears with the loss of his left arm plainly visible. 67 80
- His hair grows noticeably whiter at the temples following the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s losses. 71
Personality
Ning Fengzhi is politically calculating and adept at presenting a courteous public face. While he arrives at the imperial palace appearing concerned for the injured Xue Beng, he privately takes satisfaction in the political consequences of the prince’s injury. 35
He is willing to use coercion and indirect threats to pursue the sect’s interests, including attempting to gain access to Dugu Bo’s territory by invoking Dugu Yan’s safety. 49 However, he recognizes when direct resistance would destroy the sect and chooses concession over a futile fight. 50 51
His pragmatism has clear limits in his attachment to Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo. He accepts severe reparations to save Sword Douluo, then endures humiliation after Bone Douluo’s death rather than provoke further destruction. 51 69
