Background / History
Tang San originated as a Tang Sect adult from another world. After stealing the inner sect’s Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record, he fled to Ghost Sorrow Cliff and jumped from it. His mature soul later entered the newborn son of Tang Hao and Ah Yin, consumed the infant’s original soul, and continued life in the child’s body. The Sky Screen identifies the possessing soul as 29 years old at the time of reincarnation; a later exposure calls him a 49-year-old reincarnator 94 95 97.
While presenting himself as an unusually gifted child, Tang San concealed his prior-life knowledge and Tang Sect techniques. He treated Yu Xiaogang as a useful source of local knowledge rather than a genuine mentor, internally resolving to maintain the appearance of filial discipleship for practical benefit 95.

Setbacks to his rank or authority repeatedly provoke anger, jealousy, and fixation on revenge, particularly toward Skywater City, Gu Yuena, Neuvillette, and Focalors 31 64 82 88.
The Sky Screen’s inner-voice broadcasts portray him as calculating and utilitarian. He treats Xiao Wu’s potential sacrifice as a route to a 100,000-year spirit ring and soul bone, pressures Chen Xin for a healing treasure intended for the swordsman, and later abandons then kills Yu Xiaogang once he considers him useless 83 43 123 126. When exposed, he consistently attempts to deny the revelations, redirect blame, or preserve his public image 83 87 114.
