Background / History
Tang Hao was once publicly regarded as a tragic hero for fighting Martial Soul Hall to protect Ah Yin and their child. While still an eighty-ninth-level Soul Douluo, he used Ring Detonation against Qian Xunji and several Title Douluo, sustaining severe injuries but refusing to retreat. Ah Yin then sacrificed herself, granting him a hundred-thousand-year soul ring and allowing him to enter the Title Douluo realm; he used this power to heavily wound Qian Xunji. 99
The Sky Screen later exposed that Tang Hao had deliberately engineered this outcome. Stuck at level 89 and competing with Tang Xiao to become the youngest Title Douluo, he identified Ah Yin as a source of a hundred-thousand-year soul ring and soul bone. He knowingly kept her within Martial Soul Hall's sphere of influence and manipulated her love for himself and their child so she would willingly sacrifice. 100
After the exposure, Tang Hao abandoned his former grieving facade and openly embraced the power he had gained. The Clear Sky Sect severed all ties with him, while Gu Yuena and the Star Dou Forest soul beasts resolved to avenge Ah Yin. 103 105 113
Appearance
Following his ascension, Tang Hao appears as an imposing, disheveled warrior whose divine power reinforces the overwhelming presence associated with the Clear Sky Douluo.
- Messy hair and an unkempt beard. 48 110
- Carries the massive Clear Sky Hammer.
- Wore dark-gold divine armor after reaching level 100. 107
- His severed arm was replaced by a limb formed from divine power. 107
- His pupils turned dark gold after his breakthrough to godhood. 104
Personality
Tang Hao is domineering, ruthless, and intensely self-serving. He considers anyone who may threaten Tang San an enemy to be eliminated, including Chen Xin, whom he ordered to surrender the Seven Kill God Sword and cripple his own martial soul before attempting to kill him. 45 47
The exposure of his past reveals a calculating nature beneath his heroic reputation. He treated Ah Yin's devotion, their child, and even the consequences for the Clear Sky Sect as expendable components of his plan to gain power. 49 100
After becoming a god, Tang Hao becomes increasingly arrogant and dismissive of others, referring to powerful soul beasts as “a bunch of beasts” and believing his divine status places him beyond ordinary opposition. 104 107 He also projects his own methods onto others, accusing Neuvillette of exploiting soul beasts because he cannot accept selfless protection of them. 108 110
