Three days later.
The plains outside Nuoding City's east gate were packed with a sea of dark, steel monsters.
A thousand Conqueror Type I air-assault craft stood in neat formation.
Their streamlined hulls gleamed with the cold sheen of titanium alloy. Honeycomb rocket pods were mounted on either side of each craft, and an enormous 30-millimeter rotary cannon hung beneath each nose.
At the very front was a massive flagship, ten times the size of an ordinary airship.
It was Grey Wolf's personal ride—the Wolf Castle Ship.
But somehow, the whole thing looked... completely wrong.
A huge wolf-head statue wearing a battered top hat had been welded to the bow.
Even more absurdly, the wolf had a lit cigar clenched in its mouth (which was actually the main cannon's barrel).
Several crooked words had been painted in bright red along the side of the ship:
"His Majesty Grey Wolf Has Arrived! Everybody Get Out of the Way!"
Qin Feng stood on the deck of the Wolf Castle Ship, looking at the gleefully tacky paint job. A vein twitched twice on his forehead.
"Brother Wolf."
"Yeah! Boss, what do you think? Impressive enough?"
Grey Wolf was wearing an admiral's uniform he'd gotten from who-knew-where, with two gold stars on his shoulders. He held a telescope and was showing off with smug delight.
"This look... isn't it a little too flashy?"
Qin Feng pointed at the wolf head with the cigar.
"Flashy? That's the whole point!"
Grey Wolf tilted his hat to one side.
"In a war, presence is what matters most!"
"I want them to be dazzled by my good looks before the fighting even starts!"
"And don't worry, Boss. That cigar's been fitted with the Super Invincible Amplification System!"
"When I shout, even ants within five hundred miles can hear me!"
Qin Feng sighed.
Never mind. As long as the wolf was happy.
He turned to look behind him.
Hu Liena was wearing that shameful maid outfit. She held out a cup of freshly brewed coffee, her eyes lowered and her manner deferential.
"Master, please enjoy."
"Mm."
Qin Feng took the coffee and had a sip.
"Pass down the order. The whole fleet, move out."
"Yes!"
Hu Liena picked up the communicator. Her voice was cool and crisp, nothing like the girl who'd been crying and begging for mercy just a few days ago.
"All units, attention. This is Commander's Secretary Hu Liena."
"Coordinates: Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan."
"Full speed ahead!"
"Rumble—!!!"
A thousand antigravity engines started up at once.
The ground began to tremble.
The enormous fleet slowly rose into the sky, blotting out the sun as it surged eastward.
Two hours later.
The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, True Dragon Mountain.
One of the most renowned Soul Master sanctuaries in the Heaven Dou Empire, it consisted of nine peaks that soared into the clouds, perpetually surrounded by lightning.
On the plaza before the clan's main hall.
The clan leader, Yu Yuanzhen, stood with his hands behind his back, staring at the sky. His face was so dark it looked as if water might drip from it.
Yu Luomian knelt beside him, having just rushed back.
"Big brother! It's true! I'm not lying!"
Yu Luomian kowtowed, trembling all over.
"That Qin Feng... he isn't human!"
"He waved his hand, and a giant club fell out of the sky and took me out in one blow!"
"And... and he even put some kind of nanobug inside me..."
Yu Yuanzhen kicked him over.
"Useless!"
"You've disgraced the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan!"
"I, Yu Yuanzhen, have roamed the continent for decades. What haven't I seen?"
"A club? Even if he's a Titled Douluo, if he dares to make trouble at True Dragon Mountain, I'll tear him limb from limb!"
"Pass down my orders! Activate the Sect Protection Array!"
"All Soul Saints and above, take to the sky and meet the enemy!"
"Let that brat learn what the greatest Power Attack System Martial Soul in the world is!"
At Yu Yuanzhen's command,
"Roar—!!"
"Roar—!!"
Hundreds of dragon roars rang through the sky.
Brilliant bolts of lightning in every color shot upward.
Hundreds of Soul Saint powerhouses simultaneously activated their Martial Soul Avatars, transforming into enormous lightning dragons that circled above True Dragon Mountain.
Even Spirit Hall would have thought twice before facing such a force.
Yu Yuanzhen himself was wreathed in crackling lightning as he transformed into a hundred-meter-long Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon. He perched atop the highest peak, radiating overwhelming dominance.
"Come on, Qin Feng!"
"Let this old man see what you can do!"
Just then,
the horizon went dark.
The sky, clear only moments before, suddenly dimmed.
Then came a low, grating hum from beyond the clouds.
"Th-what is that?"
A terrified elder pointed at the sky.
The clouds were ripped apart.
The Wolf Castle Ship, painted with a huge wolf head clutching a cigar, slowly descended over True Dragon Mountain, with a thousand steel airships following behind it.
Its enormous shadow engulfed the entire Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan.
The lightning dragons, so imposing moments before, looked like a pack of baby lizards beside this colossal fleet.
"Hey—!!!"
Suddenly,
a deafening roar blasted from the cigar in the wolf's mouth.
It was so loud that several watchtowers on the mountain collapsed!
Many low-ranking disciples had blood pouring from their eyes, ears, noses, and mouths. Clutching their ears, they writhed on the ground.
"Listen up, you bunch of loaches down there!"
"I'm your Grey Wolf the Great!"
"You have ten seconds to surrender!"
"Hand over all your family's money, beauties, and that so-called gene map!"
"Otherwise..."
"I'll turn you all into braised loaches, steamed loaches, and deep-fried loaches!"
"Then sprinkle on some cumin!"
Yu Yuanzhen nearly fell out of the sky with rage.
Loaches?
And he was going to sprinkle on cumin?
This was blatant humiliation!
"You insolent bastard!"
"I am Thunder Douluo Yu Yuanzhen!"
"You've gone too far! Die!"
Yu Yuanzhen roared as his ninth Soul Ring lit up.
"Ninth Soul Skill! True Dragon's Fury, Shaking the Nine Heavens!"
The hundred-meter Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon opened its enormous jaws, gathered all its Soul Power, and unleashed a terrifying lightning pillar dozens of meters thick straight at the Wolf Castle Ship!
The attack was powerful enough to pierce a mountain range!
"Whoa! That old loach dares to fight back?"
Grey Wolf watched the screen from the cockpit and curled his lip in disdain.
"Boss, what should I do?"
Qin Feng sat in the command chair, turning a metal ball in his hand. He didn't even raise his eyelids.
"Cool him off."
"On it!"
Grey Wolf gave a strange cry and slammed his hand down on a big red button on the control panel.
"Watch and learn, boys!"
"This is the Super Invincible Bug Catching Net!"
The Wolf Castle Ship's belly hatch opened.
It wasn't a missile, or a laser.
Instead, a... gigantic net that looked as if it were made of rubber shot out.
The net ballooned as it caught the wind, growing larger than Yu Yuanzhen's true form in the blink of an eye!
And whatever it was made of, it was completely nonconductive!
The terrifying lightning pillar struck the net without even producing a spark. It was absorbed outright!
Then,
the enormous net, moving at a completely nonsensical speed, dropped over Yu Yuanzhen's hundred-meter dragon form and covered him from head to tail!
"Reel it in!"
Grey Wolf yanked the control lever.
The net cinched tight.
The mighty Thunder Douluo, a Level 95 powerhouse, was like a butterfly caught in a net. He struggled with all his might, but couldn't break free from the ridiculous-looking rubber mesh!
"Let me go! What is this thing?!"
"I refuse to accept this! It's not scientific!"
Yu Yuanzhen roared wildly inside the net, lashing out with lightning, but it was useless.
"Science?"
Qin Feng's voice rang out over the loudspeakers, coldly spreading across the battlefield.
"Against high-polymer, insulating memory rubber,"
"your lightning is worth nothing."
