The Replaced Visualization Diagram

Thor's interest in the academic discussion completely evaporated. He took Keli's meditation book directly and, enduring his dizziness, flipped through it from beginning to end.

The order and content were identical, except that his page seventeen had been replaced by the Human-Monster Walking Diagram instead of Keli's Ten Thousand Snakes Diagram.

Keli leaned over to look as well.

"Why are our pages different? Ugh..." She only took one glance before squeezing her eyes shut and turning away. "So dizzy, I feel like throwing up."

It took her a long while to recover enough to open her eyes, which had turned bloodshot, tears seemingly ready to spill from her sockets at any moment.

The meditation books and other teaching materials were delivered to Thor's door by maids; could Sid have made the switch during that process?

Even though the Human-Monster Walking Diagram had already saved him twice, Thor still didn't dare to continue using it for meditation now.

Because his time yesterday afternoon had been unexpectedly consumed in the morgue, he hadn't finished transcribing the book. However, since Thor now had an income, he didn't mind borrowing it for an extra day.

After returning the book, Thor went back to his dormitory to eat lunch.

The maid who delivered his meal this time was no longer the previous one; after all, the former had already been tossed by Thor into the large box under the operating table.

The new maid looked a bit older, and her hands kept trembling as she handed the food to Thor, nearly spilling it.

Her face was pale, and she kept bowing and apologizing to Thor, as if he might end her life at any second.

Thor kept a cold face and waved for the maid to leave.

This maid might have been frightened by the death of her predecessor, or perhaps she knew something.

Thor decided to take his visualization book and go find Mentor Kazi.

Mentor Kazi wouldn't want the new assistant he had just found to die on the job the very next day, would he?

Thinking this, Thor glanced at the food on the table.

If his own books could be tampered with, what about his food?

Although, if they wanted to poison him, they would have done it long ago.

But once suspicion took root, everything became nerve-wracking.

Thor looked at the meal on the table, but he simply couldn't muster any appetite.

Hungry, Thor hurried to the morgue on the second floor of the East Tower.
