Background / History

Thor began as an amnesiac servant in Gorsa Wizard Tower, burdened with the dangerous Dawn Task by other servants. Kongsha healed his stiff right hand, exposed his skeletal left hand, and offered him an opportunity to become a Wizard Apprentice. Thor accepted despite knowing that failure could leave him permanently damaged 3.

After becoming a Level 1 Apprentice, Thor chose Mentor Kazi because his tested primary element was dark. His actual affinity for dark particles was initially weak, while his affinity for light was unexpectedly stronger; he suspected Kongsha had manipulated his perception to direct him toward Kazi 8 13. Kazi gave him an apparently impossible three-month requirement of reaching 10 Joules of mana and assigned him laboratory cleaning under senior apprentice Mark 13.

Thor entered Wizard Body Modification almost immediately. Working in the East Tower Corpse Room gave him access to materials, and he successfully modified his skeletal left hand using the Heart Guardian potion. The modification raised his mana from 4 to 11 Joules, later stabilizing at 13 Joules, while granting the hand durability, improved dark-element perception, and enhanced meditation efficiency 49 52 56.

His research, the Death Wizard Diary, and his unusual Spirit Body repeatedly brought him into contact with Tower Master Gorsa. Gorsa eventually formally accepted Thor as his student and granted him access to the Tower Master’s research facilities 310. Thor later converted the Diary into his Locator, allowing him to become a Level 3 Apprentice 282.

Thor became an Official Wizard amid Anze’s betrayal of Gorsa Wizard Tower, defeating Luokai and absorbing his Spirit Body 428. He later established himself in the Land of No Owner, treated Black Tide Pollution, and was recognized by Kismet as its new master after becoming a Tier 3 Wizard 706.

After building the Symphony of Fate through five Fate targets, Thor ascended to Tier 4. His true form became a mass of Fate Lines capable of sustaining replacement bodies, storing items, and drawing power from his connected targets 1007. During the struggle against the Eye of the Abyss, Douglas used Thor as a filter to observe high-tier knowledge, eventually pulling him into the Abyss 1045 1051.

Appearance

Thor’s body changes substantially through repeated Wizard Body Modifications and later-tier transformations.

  • His left hand was originally exposed as a skeletal hand after Kongsha’s potion 3.
  • His modified left hand developed grayish-brown skin that fused into his forearm; later, his body became uniformly grayish-white 52 230.
  • His rebuilt body possesses greatly enhanced toughness, strength, and recovery; even a Magic Power-infused arrow shattered against his skin 230.
  • He can alter his appearance and voice to mimic others 396.
  • His Star Eyes can emerge from his skin, forehead, cheeks, or across his entire body; overuse pushes him toward his Fate Line form 954 1018.
  • At Tier 4, his true body is an immense intertwined mass of translucent Fate Lines, while his human body functions as a replaceable manifestation 1007.

Personality

Thor is cautious, analytical, and intensely survival-oriented. Having been exploited as a servant and repeatedly exposed to the Wizard Tower’s lethal hierarchy, he distrusts unsolicited kindness and evaluates relationships through risk, value, and mutual benefit 8 87 499.

He is also exceptionally proactive in research. He accepts dangerous body modifications, experiments on souls and vessels, and seeks knowledge that others consider too difficult or dangerous 20 133 331. He does not reject violence, but prefers preparation, information, bargaining, and decisive use of superior tools over reckless confrontation 536 579.

Despite his ruthlessness, Thor does not want to repeat the destructive path of prior Diary owners or Kismet. He explicitly rejects slaughter as a means of gathering Death Energy and seeks power to resist death, corruption, and the coming apocalypse rather than merely dominate others 713 959.

Abilities & Skills

Death Wizard Diary

The Death Wizard Diary is Thor’s central witchcraft item and later becomes his Locator.

  • Provides warnings of fatal outcomes and helps Thor reject dangerous choices.
  • Can bind souls and Consciousness Entities into Black Pages.
  • Became Thor’s Locator, enabling his Level 3 advancement 282.
  • Its principles concern pre-calculation and deduction rather than Fate observation 959.
  • Thor keeps its existence secret, even from close allies, due to its importance and danger 310.

Wizard Body Modification

Thor specializes in modifying his own body and later conducts extensive research on bodies, souls, and Vessels.

  • Rebuilt his left hand, greatly increasing mana, resilience, dark-element perception, and meditation efficiency 49 52.
  • Created a new grayish-white body with enhanced strength, toughness, recovery, and improved spirit-body compatibility 230.
  • His modifications make his body highly resistant to ordinary weapons and some witchcraft damage 56 230.
  • Flesh-Spirit Fusion allows him to escape physical restraints, but is inherently dangerous 636.
  • His body can regenerate lost limbs, though he may deliberately leave injuries unrepaired for strategic reasons 889 896.

Soul and Spirit Research

Thor researches Spirit Bodies, Evil Spirits, soul fusion, Spirit Ester, and the relationship between souls and physical vessels.

  • Drew an Evil Spirit from the Library into his own body and absorbed it into Spirit Ester 133.
  • Developed methods for purging evil thoughts and offered to use them to help Byron 248.
  • Conducted Vessel experiments on Herman and Hayden, discovering that souls instinctively prefer their original bodies 331.
  • Can use Soul Fishing and soul-based methods to investigate or restrain opponents, though strong soul-based defenses can interfere 301.

Dark Attribute Witchcraft

Thor’s primary research path is dark-attribute witchcraft.

  • Can cast Tier 0 dark-attribute spells rapidly with minimal spiritual adjustment 92.
  • Learned Dark Spirit Blade, whose power scales with both his Magic Power and Mental Power; it cuts through resilient targets such as pale roots 502.
  • Uses Black Sharp Blades in combat against hostile wizards 919.
  • His left hand’s modification improves his perception of dark elemental particles 73.

Consciousness Battlefield

Thor developed a method of drawing enemies into a mental confrontation on a Consciousness Platform.

  • Uses the platform to exploit the unique rules of consciousness-based combat 499.
  • Captured Kent in a mental duel, preventing Kent’s Third Rank witchcraft from deciding the fight 499.
  • Requires a stable platform and a way to lure an opponent’s consciousness inside; these were initially major limitations 301.

Fate Lines and Teleportation

Thor’s Fate Line powers become central after his Tier 3 and Tier 4 development.

  • Can perceive Fate Lines and establish one-way fate connections through Death Weaving Thread 754.
  • Uses Fate Lines for long-distance teleportation to connected targets 700 807.
  • At Tier 4, draws continuous Fate Power from five targets: Shaya, Floco, Miduo, the Wall of Sighs, and Gorsa 1007.
  • His Fate Line true form is highly resistant to corruption and can create replacement physical bodies 1007 1023.

Star Eyes

The Star Eyes are manifestations of Thor’s true nature and enable powerful observation and control.

  • Can observe multiple locations and perspectives simultaneously 412.
  • Can hypnotize or incapacitate opponents; Luo Ye was unable to complete a Tier 5 spell after meeting Thor’s gaze 923.
  • Can be implanted in others, suppressing Black Tide Pollution and strengthening connections 657 1047.
  • Thor can use them to dominate or weaken powerful consciousnesses, such as the Worm Queen 1008.
  • Excessive use causes Thor to shift toward Fate Line form rather than suffer ordinary mutation or alienation 1018.

Pollution Absorption and Neutralization

Thor can absorb and neutralize Black Tide Pollution.

  • Treated polluted wizards at Rhine Lake, earning their trust despite their initial fear 706.
  • Uses gray translucent tentacles to contact and extract pollution from multiple victims at once 706.
  • His ability to treat Black Tide Pollution made him a target of Flim’s experiments 897.
  • Can suppress Anchor Point fragments within his exclusive Tier 4 storage space 1007.
