Because something had gone wrong on Orange Cat's end, Thor and White Beard hadn't received Air Cannon's support in time. For a while, the two of them were trapped inside the wall of tree roots, unable to move forward or back.

"Kate!!!" White Beard shouted at the top of his lungs. "Whatever happened, fire off an Air Cannon first! Otherwise, we can't get over there to help you!"

Apparently, Kate was Orange Cat's real name.

Fearing Orange Cat wouldn't understand the code name in his panic, White Beard called out his name to get his attention.

White Beard's words had some effect, but not much.

Orange Cat, Kate, really did fire a small Air Cannon.

But the Air Cannon went wide, landing nearly twenty meters from the two of them—about as far away as they were from the tree stump.

"Damn it." White Beard couldn't help cursing at the sight.

White Beard actually had a backup plan for this situation, but it would only save himself.

It wasn't that he was especially kind and wanted to save Thor. It was just that they'd managed to assemble a team that worked well together, and it would be a shame to lose it like this.

Most importantly, who knew how long it would be before they could get this close to the tree stump again?

Just as White Beard was hesitating over whether to use his last resort, Thor suddenly leaped into the air.

A mass of tree roots immediately followed, trying to attack him.

White Beard was wondering whether Thor had given up and was trying to escape when a mass of Black Sharp Blades suddenly appeared around him.

But this time, the blades gleamed black, unlike their previous dull appearance.

"He actually modified Jassim's strongest Witchcraft?"
