Kate had never heard of "Cat's Gratitude," but now he was seeing it for himself.
This guy seemed to have no fear at all in the dark.
He walked along the seemingly endless road with a cat in his arms. From time to time, Shadow Monsters appeared in the surrounding high-rises, staring at the man and the cat.
Even though Thor was carrying him, Kate still felt waves of fear.
He tucked in his paws and kept glancing around, as if he had completely forgotten he was a Wizard.
What he hated most was that Thor stopped for a while every time they passed a streetlight, using Orange Cat Kate's sensitivity to fear to draw out the Shadow Monsters lurking in the darkness.
Before long, a crowd of Shadow Monsters would gather beneath the streetlight, dimming its already feeble glow.
Once enough of them had gathered, Thor would use a special method to shatter the tall, slender Shadow Monsters into a pile of dust.
Kate had no idea how Thor resisted the terrifying pressure created by the Shadow Monsters.
Surely he couldn't just tough it out with his Spirit Body?
After they passed the third streetlight, Kate finally couldn't hold back and spoke through his trembling.
"Black Blade Wizard, are you trying to clear out the enemies here this way? I don't think it's going to work."
The Orange Cat glanced quickly at the high-rises beside him.
The fear these buildings inspired in him hadn't lessened at all, even after Thor killed some of the Shadow Monsters.
"I think these Shadow Monsters are probably just things attached to this place. Smashing them won't affect it."
