Shaya's face went pale, but his mouth answered against his will.

"Yes, it's the Wish Candle."

The moment he finished speaking, he clenched his teeth, his face full of helplessness.

Then Shaya charged toward Bethana at full speed.

Bethana sent a barrage of roots toward him as well. She suddenly stopped worrying about the Tree Seed inside Shaya and decided to use force to subdue him.

"Since the Wish Candle has appeared, I don't need to worry about the Tree Heart anymore!"

Bethana suddenly stopped suppressing her emotions. The last remnants of her human face twisted like a demon's.

As Shaya drew closer to Bethana, he struggled to dodge the roots attacking him from the front and behind. When he couldn't evade them, he used the Tree Heart's power to move the roots away from him.

Without his trump card, Shaya could only rely on his willpower and keen observations to dodge each root thrusting at him as he struggled toward Bethana.

But just as Shaya was about to touch Bethana, two roots struck from opposite sides and pierced his thigh and lower abdomen, stopping him in his tracks.

Shaya had no choice. He could feel the root that had pierced his abdomen searching his Spirit Body for the Tree Seed. If the other side took it, he would have no way to fight back.
