Nero hadn't expected Nathan to say he was going to fetch help and actually bring Mentor Thor.

Wizard Palin was a senior figure at the Academy of Practice. He wouldn't care about a talented newcomer.

"Mentor Thor, Wizard Palin probably won't listen to us if we plead with him." Nero respected Thor greatly and didn't want him to take a risk, especially for the sake of an ordinary person.

Nathan, who had come with Thor, stepped forward and pulled Nero aside. "Mentor Thor didn't come to plead with him."

Nero looked at Nathan, puzzled.

Since advancing to Official Wizard, Nathan hadn't gone to the Grand Lecture Hall again.

Nero hadn't expected him to be so close to Mentor Thor. It seemed their relationship went beyond knowing each other from class.

"You two wait here." Thor didn't explain anything to Nero. He tilted his head to look at the small building before him, with its white walls and gray tiles. His gaze passed over the gray-green moss winding across the walls, and he seemed lost in thought.

Nero wasn't stupid. From Nathan's reaction and Thor's bearing, it seemed Mentor Thor wasn't as simple as he appeared.

He had just successfully advanced to Tier 1 Official Wizard, but Thor still seemed unfathomable to him.
