That night, Scott and the Weasley Twins waited until after two in the morning before they finally saw Filch leave on the Marauder's Map.

"Oh, Merlin! That old bastard Filch has finally gone!" George, who had been half asleep, perked up at once and smacked Fred awake.

Scott rose from his chair and picked up the "Shocking Font" he had made.

"Let's go. We need to hurry."

He first lifted the Anti-Disturbance Charm he had cast on the classroom door, then pulled it open and asked quietly, "George, did Filch go back to his office?"

"Yes, he's back in his lair." George shook the piece of parchment in his hand.

"Don't worry." Fred yawned. "We're the only ones still moving on the map."

"Good."

Scott walked out of the empty classroom.

The three of them turned down several corridors and arrived at the spot where Mrs. Norris had been petrified.

The two lines of writing on the wall still glimmered, reflected in the large puddle on the floor.

"Careful, there's a huge puddle on the floor."

Scott warned the two behind him.

But the moment he finished speaking, Fred stepped into the water and slipped.

Fortunately, George caught him in time.

"You're so sleepy you can barely keep your eyes open, Fred!" George said, rather gleefully.

"Damn it! Maybe Filch really is crazy. He actually left this puddle here without cleaning it up." Fred was fully awake now and grumbled unhappily.

Scott held up the "Shocking Font" and tried different spots on the wall, looking for a suitable place.

Once he had found one, he asked the other two, "Which of you can hold this thing in place for me?"

"I will!"

Fred stepped forward and held down the line of letters made from twisted wire.

Scott took two steps
