At dinner time, Scott and his roommates arrived at the Great Hall together and found that something was different from usual.

The food on the long tables was especially sumptuous, and all the school staff had shown up for once.

"What's going on?"

They heard other students discussing it.

"Halloween just ended, and now we're having another banquet?"

"Who cares? Maybe something good happened?"

"Good? You mean Filch's cat being killed by Potter?"

"You seriously don't know? The cat isn't dead at all!"

Scott saw Eddie wearing an expression that said, "Everyone's drunk but me." He leaned in and whispered, "Hey, Scott, this is definitely a celebration of our victory."

Roger just laughed. "I doubt you'll get any praise later, Eddie."

"I don't care. Scott can have all the glory." Eddie shrugged. "The most important rule in my line of work is to keep a low profile."

Scott listened to him and shook his head, amused.

He really wanted to ask Eddie what line of work he was in.

But more and more students were passing by, so they dropped the subject.

They walked over to the Ravenclaw table, sat down, and greeted the people nearby.

Scott heard quite a few Ravenclaw students still discussing what had happened earlier.

They were keenly interested in studying both the magic that had petrified the cat and the magic that had left glowing words on the wall that couldn't be erased.

"Another banquet. I wonder when we'll be able to leave," Milton said suddenly, looking distracted.

Scott turned to him. "What's wrong?"

"Oh, I'm fine." Milton gave another distracted smile.

Scott could tell his thoughts had already wandered far away.
