Background / History

Zhao Wuji was a commoner Spirit Master whose academy career ended early after he offended a noble. Without an academy teacher to assist him, he was forced to seek a thousand-year spirit ring independently despite being only a level 30 quasi-Soul Elder. He advertised for teammates, offering his future loot share and Spirit Master subsidies to repay anyone who helped him advance. 21 22

Wang Chuan recruited him after recognizing both his unusually developed physique and potential as a bear-type Power Attack System Spirit Master. Zhao Wuji initially addressed Wang Chuan as “Captain,” then committed himself to the mercenary group after witnessing Wang Chuan's strength, discipline, and willingness to invest resources in him. 21 22
