"Chopper, take Luffy and go first."
Nico Robin said, her gaze resolute.
Last time, everyone had rescued her from these people.
This time, she would be the one to save everyone!
"Robin, you can't do it alone!"
Chopper was frantic.
He wanted to stay behind and protect everyone, too.
"None of you are getting away!"
Rob Lucci glared at the Straw Hat Crew.
A large group of grunts nearby were holding off the Cipher Pol agents.
The sight irritated him. He charged in and sent several Rankyaku slashes sweeping through a crowd of pirates.
Last time, when he fought that big guy with the Red Eye, he hadn't even had the chance to show his strength before the man had put him in handcuffs.
After loosening up, Rob Lucci felt a little better.
Then he used Soru and charged straight at the Straw Hat Crew.
Sanji naturally wouldn't let a lady get hurt. He stepped forward and kicked at Rob Lucci with Diable Jambe.
Rob Lucci wasn't the least bit afraid of the intense heat produced by the swamp gas fermenting inside Sanji's shoes. He punched back with a fist reinforced by Tekkai.
Sanji's strength was no match for Rob Lucci's. He was sent flying.
"Nico Robin, this is all your fault!"
Rob Lucci glared at Nico Robin nearby, his expression icy.
He'd never imagined that trying to capture this woman would lead to his defeat at the hands of pirates, followed by so much humiliation.
Nico Robin's expression was cold. She was no longer afraid.
She raised her hands, ready to use her ability.
But she grabbed at empty air. Her power required her to sense or see her target.
Rob Lucci vanished on the spot. She couldn't catch him.
When he reappeared, he was already beside Nico Robin, claws raised to strike her.
"Stop."
Uchiha Tamaharu's voice rang out.
Rob Lucci's body froze against his will, but less than two seconds later, he regained control.
His eyes blazed with fury. He recognized that voice—the voice of the man who had treated him as if he were nothing.
You want me to stop? Then I won't!
The same trick wouldn't work on him again.
"Purgatory."
Seeing that Rob Lucci wasn't afraid of death, Uchiha Tamaharu showed no mercy.
His Three-Tomoe Sharingan spun rapidly, transforming into the shape of a Mangekyo. He used his Dōjutsu.
Rob Lucci froze again, unable to move.
Purgatory had eight hells: the mountain of blades, the sea of fire, the ice mountain, the boiling oil, Dismemberment Hell, the slicing torture, solitude, and Muken.
Each use randomly selected one hell, forcing the victim to endure its pain for a full day in the mental world. In the Living World, only five to ten seconds usually passed, and those with strong minds could break free faster.
Nico Robin sensed the danger coming from the man before her.
But Uchiha Tamaharu gave her no time to react. He snapped Seastone Handcuffs onto her before she could move.
Sanji charged over, only to be electrocuted unconscious.
"Everyone!"
Nami was frantic, her eyes wide with panic.
The only fighter left by her side was the freak, Franky.
Chopper had already run off with Luffy.
She was next. Uchiha Tamaharu tied her up with ease.
"Nami!"
Lola rushed over, only to be kicked flying by Kaku, who had arrived on the scene.
"Heh, heh, heh."
At the same time, Rob Lucci awoke from Purgatory.
His eyes were filled with terror. He clutched his shoulders and felt at his neck.
He had been sent to Dismemberment Hell.
His body had been chopped apart again and again. He'd felt his hands disappear, then felt them return moments later.
Then he'd been cut apart all over again!
Even an elite killer like him had nearly been driven insane by Purgatory.
"I used a technique on you that I hadn't even used on a Shichibukai. What a waste."
Uchiha Tamaharu looked at Rob Lucci calmly.
Rob Lucci stared back at him, terrified.
In the illusion, it had been this man who kept severing his limbs and head.
"Let me go!!"
"Luffy!"
"Let me go, you bastard!!"
Chopper had been caught by the Uchiha Clan and brought back. He struggled weakly, looking rather comical.
Seastone Handcuffs were locked around his neck, and around the wrists of the unconscious Luffy.
These Seastone Handcuffs had all been taken from the Marine warship. They'd known they would be capturing CP9 and that many of its members would have powers, so they'd brought plenty.
Uchiha Tamaharu had taken them all. They were incredibly useful in the first half of the Grand Line.
"Luffy!"
Brook had been struggling to fend off the other CP9 agents alongside the pirates. When he saw Luffy captured, he grew agitated and charged through the CP9's attacks.
Then he was handcuffed too.
Only Franky remained, fighting back with the pirates, but they couldn't withstand CP9's attacks.
"Take these people to the castle."
Uchiha Tamaharu ordered his clan members to take the Straw Hat Crew away.
Franky, whose arms and legs had been broken, was taken along with them.
"Once you've dealt with these nobodies, come over too."
Uchiha Tamaharu turned to the CP9 agents, his voice icy.
Kaku had learned from Kumadori what had happened and broke into a cold sweat.
He'd thought the mission would end their dealings with the other side. He hadn't expected Rob Lucci to do something like this and disobey the man's orders.
Uchiha Tamaharu paid them no further attention. He and his clan members took the Straw Hat Crew back to Bartholomew Kuma.
"Lucci, should we run?"
Once Uchiha Tamaharu was out of sight, Kaku came over to Rob Lucci and whispered.
But then he froze. Rob Lucci's eyes were filled with terror, utterly devoid of his usual arrogance and coldness.
Kaku stood there, stunned, unable to understand how Rob Lucci had ended up like this!
"Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Robin, Chopper, Usopp, Franky, and Brook."
Uchiha Tamaharu counted them and confirmed everyone was there.
He left them alone and went over to Bartholomew Kuma, signaling for Itachi to release the Water Prison Technique.
The Water Prison Technique was released, and Bartholomew Kuma could finally move his head. But the Laser he'd fired earlier had pierced his mouth and the back of his head. If he hadn't been a cyborg, he would have died.
Now he simply couldn't speak, though his mechanical neck still supported him.
Uchiha Tamaharu reached into Bartholomew Kuma and pulled out the Den Den Mushi. He'd deliberately avoided using Lightning Style to control him, just to keep the Den Den Mushi safe.
Then Uchiha Tamaharu dialed the Den Den Mushi and waited for the call to connect.
"Is it taken care of?"
"You really are more reliable than Moria. That was fast."
A deep, aged voice came from the other end of the line.
