Illusion

The next morning, Sasuke woke up and looked around the basement, at a loss for words. He'd actually fallen asleep down here. This was really too much.

"Ah, I see! The power produced by absorbing the Kurama Clan's Kekkei Genkai knocked me out! But this power is incredible! Hahahahaha..."

After carefully recalling what had happened before he passed out, Sasuke nearly burst out laughing. His own experience had proven that an awakened member of the Kurama Clan possessed Genjutsu abilities said to rival those of the Mangekyō Sharingan. This wasn't just theory—it was real!

The Kurama Clan's Kekkei Genkai had not only given Sasuke 500 points of Sharingan Genjutsu proficiency, but, more importantly, it had granted him three of the clan's terrifying awakened Genjutsu.

Terror Illusion and Demonic Illusion: Five Senses were practically the Ninja World's version of Illusion! I could make you believe whatever I wanted, and you'd believe it. I could keep you from knowing something, and you'd never find out.

"This is still a bit troublesome. Having to use two Genjutsu at once... It'd be better to simplify things!"

Although he was extremely satisfied with the Kurama Clan's Kekkei Genkai, Sasuke preferred things simple, and using two techniques still seemed troublesome. After all, one technique was bound to be simpler than two—and Sasuke happened to have the ability to make that happen!

Looking at the 2,400 points of General Proficiency he had left, Sasuke unhesitatingly spent 2,000 of them, splitting the points between Terror Illusion and Demonic Illusion: Five Senses.

After that, Sasuke opened the fusion panel. After all, only by fusing them could he create the perfect Illusion!

Looking at the two Genjutsu displayed on the fusion panel, Sasuke smiled in satisfaction. It seemed he'd guessed correctly: Sharingan techniques could be fused, too!

With a rush of excitement, Sasuke selected the two techniques and fused them!

After waiting a moment, Sasuke studied the fused technique, his expression turning complicated. This was terrifying. It really was Illusion!

"Hahahahahahaha!"

Looking at Illusion's terrifying proficiency cap of 5,000, Sasuke figured that once he maxed out the Genjutsu, it wouldn't be inferior to Itachi's Tsukuyomi!

"Now the plan's even more likely to succeed!" Remembering his plan to kill Danzo, Sasuke grew excited. He'd been wondering how to take Danzo's right arm and right eye without anyone noticing, but now it seemed incredibly easy!

"Stay calm. Now isn't the time!" After steadying his excitement, Sasuke put away his Three-Tomoe Sharingan and summoned a Shadow Clone to train. Then he headed for the Uchiha Graveyard.

The Uchiha Bloodline Crystals were very useful, so they couldn't go to waste. Sasuke also wanted to see whether the Sage of Six Paths' stone tablet could be refined with Shenlian. If it could, he'd surely make a great haul!

When Sasuke arrived at the Uchiha Graveyard, Naka Shrine, he found that the system could still be opened. He left the special Shadow Clone and Divine Refining Eye outside, then entered the underground chamber where the Uchiha Clan held their secret meetings—the place that housed the Sage of Six Paths' stone tablet.

As soon as he entered the Uchiha Clan's secret meeting chamber, Sasuke began to wonder why the two braziers beside the Sage of Six Paths' stone tablet were still burning. How strange!

Crossing the vast chamber, Sasuke reached the stone tablet. He examined it with his Sharingan and found nothing useful inscribed on it. Then he opened the Shenlian panel and used Shenlian on the tablet.

Sasuke hadn't expected much. It was only a stone tablet, not a special ninja tool, so there was no reason it should be possible to refine it. But, to his surprise, Shenlian activated!

The Divine Refining Eye revolved around the Sage of Six Paths' stone tablet.

Sasuke could clearly see wisps of black vapor being absorbed by the Divine Refining Eye. The stone tablet slowly crumbled, until it was reduced to a pile of dust!

"Built like a house of cards!"

Looking at the Sage of Six Paths' stone tablet, which had collapsed on the spot, Sasuke couldn't help making a sarcastic remark. Then he noticed that as the tablet disappeared, the two eternally burning flames had gone out as well!

"Hey, don't blame me for this!" Sasuke, now surrounded by darkness, couldn't help grumbling. He took out the sealing scroll he always carried with him.

A puff of smoke later, an oil lamp appeared in Sasuke's hand. By its light, he began searching for treasure. After all, if the Uchiha Clan's sacred ground didn't contain a single treasure, that would be downright embarrassing!

After searching for five whole hours, Sasuke found two things. One was something like a history of the Uchiha Clan. It clearly recorded the clan's history, as well as two techniques: the Uchiha Clan's forbidden techniques, Izanagi and Izanami!

"Techniques that strain the eyes. Useless!" Sasuke glanced at the two techniques recorded in the clan history, then casually sealed the history scroll away.

The second item was an unremarkable Kusanagi Sword. It was fairly sharp, but Sasuke found it strange. The reason was simple: he'd found the sword in the same place as the clan history. It clearly couldn't be an ordinary sword!

After all, no clan would keep its history together with an ordinary sword, would it?

"I'll look into it when I get back!" After putting away the sword as well, Sasuke continued searching the sacred place by lamplight, looking for any other hidden secrets.

As he searched, Sasuke suddenly noticed a hidden button on the Uchiha Clan Crest above where the Sage of Six Paths' stone tablet had stood.

Once he noticed it, Sasuke began to regret refining the stone tablet as soon as he'd entered. Now he couldn't reach the button.

"Height is a real disadvantage!" Sasuke looked at the button and shook his head helplessly. Then he turned to move some stones. When he couldn't reach something, he had to use whatever was around!

After a great deal of effort, Sasuke finally dragged over a stone and reached the hidden button.

When he pressed it, Sasuke felt something nearby begin to move!

Illusion seals the eyes; the Six Paths stone tablet must be refined!
