Family Heirlooms

As the ground trembled again and again, Sasuke suddenly noticed a hidden door opening to his right. It seemed to lead to some unknown place.

After noticing this, Sasuke hesitated for a moment, then jumped straight off the rock and into the hidden doorway.

As soon as he entered, he was surrounded by darkness. As he walked, Sasuke suddenly felt the step beneath his foot move.

A series of lights appeared, and the torches along both sides of the stairs lit up, making Sasuke's eyes ache!

"Creepy!"

Rubbing his eyes, Sasuke put away the lamp in his hand. Once he had adjusted to his surroundings, he slowly made his way down the stairs.

About five minutes later, Sasuke reached an altar. Three pairs of Sharingan, each with three tomoe, were displayed on it in test tubes. There was also a scroll.

Below the altar stood a stone coffin. When Sasuke opened it, he saw a body inside: short black hair, no eyes, and an appearance that suggested he was in his teens.

"Uchiha Shisui?"

Looking at the person in the coffin, Sasuke stared in disbelief. No wonder Yakushi Kabuto hadn't been able to use Impure World Reincarnation on Uchiha Shisui. This place must have been accessible only to the Uchiha Clan Head; it was far too well hidden.

"Rest in peace!"

After discovering that the body was Uchiha Shisui's, Sasuke unhesitatingly used Shenlian. After all, if not for Shisui's Sharingan, the treacherous Danzo wouldn't have coveted the power of the Sharingan so much.

After Shenlian, Uchiha Shisui's body vanished completely from the coffin. That was how terrifying Shenlian was.

"This feels a little evil! But at least you won't be brought back with Impure World Reincarnation now, right? I really am a good person!" Looking at Shisui, who had vanished without a trace, Sasuke hesitated for a moment, then casually made up an excuse for himself.

Going around the coffin, Sasuke first used Shenlian on the three pairs of Three-Tomoe Sharingan. Only after all three pairs had been put away did he turn his attention to the scroll on the altar.

After opening the scroll, Sasuke's expression froze. It had been left behind by Uchiha Madara, and mainly explained how to master Susanoo and how to evolve the Mangekyō Sharingan into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

"What? In the end, the thing I'd hoped for most turned out to be the most useless!" Looking at the scroll, Sasuke shook his head helplessly. He then bowed a few times before the altar and left.

After returning to the underground chamber, Sasuke closed the hidden door and left Naka Shrine. It was already night, and it was time to go home.

He still had to go to the Ninja Academy tomorrow! Or rather, his Shadow Clone did!

Back home, Sasuke dispelled his Shadow Clone and went to sleep.

Early the next morning, Sasuke sent his special Shadow Clone to the Ninja Academy, then went down to the basement and opened his storage inventory to check what he'd gained.

The first things that caught his eye were the two additional Uchiha Bloodline Crystals. That didn't surprise Sasuke at all, but the next few items left him a little stunned.

Those first two items had caught Sasuke completely off guard. As expected of the stone tablet the Sage of Six Paths had painstakingly left behind! The things refined from it were truly extraordinary!

"The time depends on the level of the Mangekyō Sharingan. I'll have to think this through carefully!" Reading the description of the Six Paths Yin Power, Sasuke began to plan.

"Uchiha Itachi, Uchiha Shisui, Uchiha Obito, plus my own and my father's—five pairs of Mangekyō Sharingan in total. If I can gather them all, the evolution shouldn't take a whole lifetime like it did for Uchiha Madara, right?"

Sasuke subconsciously touched his eyes and murmured to himself. Then he shook his head helplessly. He didn't even have the Mangekyō Sharingan yet; he shouldn't get ahead of himself.

As for the Six Paths Yang Power, it could evolve the Advanced Sage Body into the Sage Body. Another way to understand it was that it could evolve the Asura Bloodline!

After all, only the Senju and Uzumaki clans produced people with the Sage Body. By combining the bloodlines of those two clans with Senju Hashirama's and Uzumaki Naruto's cells, one could obtain the Asura Bloodline—in other words, the Advanced Sage Body.

"Indra and Asura really were a pair of good brothers!" Looking at the descriptions of the Six Paths Yin Power and Six Paths Yang Power, Sasuke curled his lips and turned to the next item.

After reading the description, Sasuke was a little confused, but he quickly understood. After all, he hadn't been the one to kill Shisui. Getting these things at all was already pretty good, considering that Danzo and Itachi had divided up Shisui's eyes!

After looking over these three items, Sasuke felt that something was off. After thinking it through, he realized that the three pairs of Sharingan seemed to have disappeared.

He checked each of the items in his storage inventory and found that his mother Uchiha Mikoto's Three-Tomoe Sharingan seemed to have undergone a strange change.

Looking at the description, Sasuke didn't know what to say. Could the God Refining System actually create a sixth pair of Mangekyō Sharingan for him?

"Whatever! I can absorb it later!" Looking at the description of the Three-Tomoe Sharingan, Sasuke shook his head helplessly. He then took out the Kusanagi Sword that had been stored with the clan records and used Shenlian.

After Shenlian, Sasuke stared at the item in his storage inventory, lost in thought.

Looking at the description, Sasuke was completely caught off guard. He'd known there was no way an ordinary Kusanagi Sword would be kept beside the clan records!

Sasuke didn't have any plans for the Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi that could be fused—or, more precisely, he didn't have any plans for it right now. He wanted to equip the sword on his Susanoo!

After all, when he'd watched the anime, Sasuke had thought Uchiha Itachi's Susanoo's three divine weapons were pretty impressive. Besides, Sasuke himself didn't want to use a sword. He wasn't sure why; he just didn't like them!

Looking at the items in his storage inventory, Sasuke thought for a while, then closed it. The items were just too tempting. He felt that if he kept looking, he might not be able to resist fusing them right away.

"A deep foundation, indeed! There's a reason people say a camel, even on its deathbed, is bigger than a horse!" Sasuke said with a sigh as he watched his Shadow Clone continue training.

Six Paths Power really was a bargain. Even a dying camel was bigger than a horse.
