An Jing narrowed his eyes. After the Broken Blade Mountain Range incident, he had formed some opinions of his own about the Heavenly Demons.

Though people who were demonized might become extreme, [the Heavenly Demons themselves] weren't beings of 'lust' or 'indulgence.' In fact, they were extremely rational and highly driven by purpose. It was hard to say whether they even had emotions; generally, they relied on the beings they possessed to acquire the corresponding feelings and intelligence.

If there really was a higher will behind these Demonic Beasts, then their aim was probably to flush him out and make him act.

And then ambush him? At the Mingjing Sect? That was a bit much. Even the Heavenly Demons wouldn't do something like that.

So... were they merely planning to talk with him?

Just like at Broken Blade Mountain? That Great Heavenly Demon called 'Xiuming' had wanted to 'persuade' him to join their side. So was it Xiuming again this time? Or did some other Great Heavenly Demon want to 'have a chat' with him?

"Understood."

He put the thought aside. Although An Jing wasn't quite sure what the Heavenly Demons were after, he had already figured out the best way to deal with them: ignore them!

Of course, that didn't mean truly doing nothing.

Any Demonic Beasts that hindered the reclamation effort would be killed. In a few days, An Jing would personally lead a team over and wipe them all out.

What he meant by ignoring them was that he would disregard any hints the Heavenly Demons might send, and absolutely wouldn't seek them out himself. He would wait for them to lose patience and reveal themselves by coming to him.

Then An Jing could wait at his leisure. Whether he made them pay a price, directly
