The demon god shattered, and the molten sea stretched for ten thousand miles, casting heaven and earth in a dark crimson glow.
Beneath a sky of seemingly burning clouds, the Holy Demon's phantom was gradually turning from illusion into substance. The slaughter between the Kun Demon and the Demon Kingdom, the endless blood sacrifices, and An Jing's eventual arrival had allowed it to awaken.
Looking down upon An Jing beneath the cloud palace, it stood atop the azure-gold Main Sacrificial Lotus. This intellectual core of the Kun Demon was somewhat withered, like petals shriveling dry as they neared blazing flames, while the Holy Demon itself was a blaze beyond understanding and beyond description.
That murky, dim fire surged and twisted, condensing into a tangible embodiment of death. A humanoid figure stepped out from the dark flames, clad in a black robe, crowned with a stellar diadem, its collar rimmed in fire and sleeves flowing like clouds. Its feet trod the abyss, Dragon-Snakes coiled around its waist, its cloudlike hair and wind-swept tresses lending it an air of splendor and nobility. Yet upon closer inspection, its face seemed like light shining upon waves, dazzling and ever-shifting, impossible to make out clearly. It felt at once familiar and strange.
Were the living beings of Tianyuan to see this face, even if they could not comprehend it at all, an instinctive sense of closeness would arise within them.
The reason was simple.
That was the face of Immortal Venerable Hanyue, the sacred being who had opened this world!
Or rather, the Holy Demon was the Immortal Venerable's shadow.
In terms of appearance, the Holy Demon looked more like an immortal deity than anything An Jing had ever imagined. It truly deserved the word "Holy" in its name.
But it was a Holy Demon.
