An Jing was utterly at ease. "General Gu and A-Cang will make their own decisions."
Almost no one in the world knew of the relationship between Heavenly Fate and a Companion Star. Not even the successive holders of other Heavenly Fates had left behind any records concerning it. Cang Linzu had originally gone to the imperial capital as his vanguard to scout it out, but to others, it would likely seem as though he had ulterior motives.
But King De's next words surprised even An Jing somewhat. "His Majesty has privately decided to receive General Gu before long... and has specifically named that Commander Cang for an audience as well."
"The Emperor?" An Jing was briefly taken aback. "He really has too much time on his hands... No."
Narrowing his eyes, An Jing fell into thought. "Wait... it's one thing if others don't know the connection between Heavenly Fate and a Companion Star, but if I'm right, the Heavenly Sect that seized the Heavenly Fate of 'Nothingness Born' became the Da Chen Imperial Dynasty. Perhaps... that young emperor knows the secret?"
