Background and History

Huo Qing grew up in Danlin Town, in the home his parents left him. They had been Guiyi Army spies sent into Xuanye City to infiltrate a Luofu Group exploration company. After losing them, he was taken in by Daqiang, who kept him from starving. Huo Qing later served Daqiang’s Day Tiger Gang group as an accountant, warehouse manager, and occasional driver 73 76 218 412.

He helped Daqiang’s group embezzle supplies and falsify records out of loyalty, despite his misgivings. When the group tried to kill him and place the blame on him, An Jing intervened. Huo Qing fled to the Recycling Hut, where another uncle, Iron Hand, gave him protection. The gang subsequently issued Huo Qing a new identity and Xuanye City residency 76 79 218.

At the hut, Huo Qing returned to study and took on increasing responsibility for its business. He kept its accounts in order, expanded sales to the Wilderness, and developed its arrays. He later pursued formal array studies while building a warehouse operation with An Jing 85 289 292 340.

Huo Qing can look frail despite his cultivated physique 74 804.

• His seemingly thin body consists of highly refined flesh and blood; by Chapter 804, his powerful Divine Soul and body vaguely form a circulating array 804.

Personality

Huo Qing is generous with people he trusts. He gave An Jing his family’s secret nourishment technique in thanks for saving him, and later rushed valuable food and armor to him after seeing his injuries. Early in their friendship, that gratitude could become anxious: An Jing noticed that being entrusted with an important task sometimes made Huo Qing afraid to act independently 73 210 337.

He is diligent in study and increasingly decisive under pressure. Against an assassin, he combined close combat, arrays, and soul techniques, then stopped his investigation rather than risk leading an unknown enemy to his allies. He is also willing to use defeated enemies’ souls as resources, a harsher approach than Nian Quan’s 211 643.

Array Formation

Huo Qing’s principal specialization is arrays. He improved a warehouse’s Spirit Gathering Array, studied formal Tianyuan formation methods, and later used formations within his own body 292 643 732.
