The "Moonlight Children" Who Long Ago Fell

When the scene in the painting changed, Colin and the Little Girl both saw eight golden big-headed babies fly out from the shadows.

"Huh?" Even the Little Girl was a little slow to react.

They watched as the Moonlight Children who had run out of their little storage room flew toward the eight figures in the massive painting, each merging into it in an eerie manner.

Screech—

The massive black bull suddenly split in half down the middle. During the process, the canvas around it rapidly changed. The figures of those Moonlight Children quickly blurred and vanished, while the moonlight behind them shifted from crimson to cold, bright white.

Before long, when the two halves of the black bull collapsed to either side, an enormous big-headed baby slowly rose to its feet.

It resembled the previous big-headed babies, yet it radiated a sacred aura. Its body was bathed in bull's blood, while thorns coiled around it pierced its tender infant skin, drawing blood.

However, its figure was still somewhat blurry and had not immediately become clear.

In other words, at that time, the Mother of Suffering and Thorns had once brought down a genuine miracle through the Painter's work.

And this miracle bore not the name "Suffering," but "Thorns." It did not acknowledge the Suffering Church.
