History

Little Girl first appears in a church stronghold as a translucent, doll-like child in a long white dress. She confronts Colin over the deaths of the other children in the stronghold, accusing him of killing beings who had only struggled to survive. Her grief turns her eyes crimson and freezes Colin and his Servants in place, leaving her as the only one able to move 14.

Although initially hostile, she asks Colin for Father Kadish’s spiked Wooden Wheel. After receiving it, she drives the spikes into her own chest; her body fractures, exposing a skin-and-bones mummy within before she vanishes. Before disappearing, she warns Colin that something is coming 16.

She resurfaces much later in a small boat after saving Colin from the Blade of Sin embedded in him. She insists that she died long ago, but cannot explain why she still exists. She also begins calling Colin “Big Brother” and expects payment for helping him 398.

Little Girl subsequently travels with Colin, revealing that she can hide in shadows and has remained near him without being detected 406. During the encounter with Vanessa’s witches, she covertly controls their shadows while speaking to them, immobilizing the entire group. She releases them after their frost power begins destabilizing her control 418.

She later adopts the name Vigus when Barton asks how to address her. While aiding Colin’s side during the Sea-Kin conflict, she also shows a protective attachment to the Moonlight Children gathered from the shadows 487.

After secretly leaving Shana’s side to enter the Ruins of the Graveyard of Peaks for a Divine Gift, Little Girl disappears for over a month. She eventually returns exhausted after defeating a former Choir Priest of Suffering and bringing back a golden eye. Colin later realizes she has defeated Aurora, an enemy comparable to a Miracle, despite only being slightly stronger than her opponent 638 659 660.

In the Land of Sin, she works with Colin to clear Lord-level Aberrations, seek the truth behind the Faces, and prepare for the final conflict involving the Holy King and the Mother Goddess. Despite fearing the Mother Goddess, she remains committed to ending Suffering 685 691 697.

Little Girl combines childlike innocence with a mischievous, manipulative streak. She enjoys acting pitiful, asks Colin for rewards such as live deer, and readily drops an act when it fails to earn sympathy 398 573. She is also blunt enough to ask Lin Yilan whether she has a brain, then hang upside down from the ceiling while waiting for an answer 452.

Despite her antics, she is observant and cautious. She concealed herself from Colin for long periods because she believed he would find a way to deal with her if he considered her dangerous 671. She is protective of the Moonlight Children and fears being abandoned or losing access to food and shelter 660 662.
