The sacred "Moonlight Children" ultimately did not choose to become Little Girl's sisters.

After bidding farewell to that miracle painting, Colin and Little Girl began purging the Lord-level Aberrations in the gallery.

One monster after another—creatures that had once filled Colin with despair at the mere sight of them—were now easily slain and turned into items in his Inventory.

It took them an hour or two to clear out every monster inside.

Although dealing with so many monsters in such a short time had left Colin somewhat tired, the gains this time were fairly good.

Leaving aside the mysterious items, the Aberrations themselves were valuable spoils.

After thoroughly resolving the issue here, the two of them left the gallery.

[You realize that if you keep moving downward along the stairway, you will encounter the "Fourth Face."]

[After observing your surroundings, you detect no trace of a "Pain Bearer."]

Colin fell silent for a moment, then looked at Little Girl. "Can you sense where that 'Pain Bearer' is?"

"No." She shook her head.

"That's strange. Where could the 'Pain Bearer' have been hidden?"

Colin frowned. There were currently only two unclear places: the location of the underground "Fourth Face," and Holy King Hall.

The "Pain Bearer" obviously could not be where the "Fourth Face" was.

And if it was not there, then the most likely place was Holy King Hall.

However, there was no way they could go to Holy King Hall right now.

Colin's intuition told him that now was not the time to go to war with the other side. The timing was not yet right.

As for when the timing would be right—

He did not know, but he was certain it would not be now.

"Then let's make some preparations around here first, and then
