Calamity revealed a shocked expression for the first time. He could not understand why his power had been devoured by the Heavenly Emperor. This was power belonging to a perfect-grade Dao!
Unless the Heavenly Emperor was also a wielder of a perfect-grade Dao, it should have been utterly impossible for him to devour Calamity's power of disaster!
What Calamity had not expected most was that the Heavenly Emperor seemed to know some things about the Heaven-Bearing Universe, especially matters concerning him.
"Who exactly are you?!"
Calamity shouted again.
The Heavenly Emperor sneered. "You do not need to know who I am. But I can tell you this: the person you want revenge on is not dead. She did not perish in this calamity either. She has been hiding all along and is living perfectly well."
"What did you say!"
Calamity's pupils contracted, his body seeming to have been struck by lightning.
Then a terrifying aura surged from him. His eyes turned blood-red, strange phenomena sprang up all around him, and scarlet lightning flashed through the air.
"Impossible! That woman was only at the first level of the Supreme Realm. How could she possibly withstand this calamity?"
Calamity could scarcely believe it and roared.
The Heavenly Emperor gave a contemptuous snort. "Do you really think her strength was only at the first level of the Supreme Realm?"
"If she truly were only at the first level of the Supreme Realm, how could your father have been so bewitched by her? He even caused your birth mother's death because of her!"
The Heavenly Emperor shouted in a low voice.
"Shut up!"
At those words, Calamity completely lost his mind. With a furious roar, he raised his hand and pointed. The Heavenly Calamity Art erupted forth, while the Disaster Dao behind him trembled.
